Haha powder. My desi roommate had major complexes cuz apparently he was dark. He thought he can never score with women because of his skin complexion. And to add insult to injury this sri lankan guy in his class who was 200 shades darker than him had women surrounded him left right and centre because he had a great attitude and everyone loved him. I tried explaining to my roomie its the attitude and not the colour but it was already a lost cause.
Ofcourse the funniest moment was when me and a bunch of other guys uncovered a tube of ‘Fair & Lovely’ in his dresser! LOL !

I always ignore compliments or shake my head or something weird - then quickly say something stupid like - you like this suit - it only cost a fiver 
But iv had some phenominal compliments by total strangers who have seen me interact with patients where I work..
a 70 Year old pt - was telling someone else.. that if there was more ppl in the world like me - the world wud be a better place. That was really sweet.
Another patient told me that I was a very caring and genuine pt and there wernt many ppl like me around these days..
these are feel-good compliments - personal compliments about the way I look are hard to take …

i have been told 'ur really cute' or 'u look cute today' a zillion times..nobody ever told me i looked 'beautiful/gorgeous'!bummer
i juz smile at such moments .. say thankyou .. and tell the person that he/she looks good too..yes i say this to every one..either they look good or not..because once i just smiled and said thankyou ..dint appreciate the lady in response and she bluntly said..'..ur welcome..laikan main aachi nahi lag rahi kia??' with that stern look on her face and i swear it felt as i have hurt her..after that day i tell everyone that they look
good/pretty/beautiful/cute/handsome!:D
