brov Walthamstow is da best place 2 be in London...u get weridos calling u weirdos, but den it depends who u hang around...Drinking is somefin really big n bad.. personally I dont find ne1 forcing me unless der ur friends...I fink its more of ur gut inctinct, i mean if one doesnt smoke and a crew call one a weirdo den u do feel left out..m i chatting crap..hop im coming through oryt...but yeah back 2 point walthamstow is best so dont blame da place i fink its da people u come across..

yeah im 4rm walthamstow brov, dats y im bigging da place up..Its my pind....hmm yeah offering again, dependig on da crew u hang around wiv..where I work is a complete gora place n in our last xmas party, every1 knew dat I dont drink so no1 offered me..so I guess u gota keep da line once told no1 should annoy u (unless some1 really being a prick)..under ur nick it says da town name so I thought u was from der2...Iv been offered a few tyms n people come up wiv oh "Zee u dont kno what ur missing??" my reply always is da same Guys u dont know wat ur missing...oh people do drink loads n i mean da Muslim crew..some people call dat in order to mix in wiv culture dey do it, others just drink it 4 da fun of it n others for other reasons...n specially wen a crew come up wiv some weird stuff, 1 start finkikn m i really missing somefin..so der u go..has dat ever happened 2 u...

I have had such experience with the desi wannabees only...gora's understand that some do it and some don't its a personal choice...but desis insist that in order to be cool you have to smoke, drink and have sex for fun.

You're a little young to be hanging around people who drink...right?
Look at it this way, would you rather be a 17 year old with his head screwed on nice and straight or a 17 year old with an alcohol habit?
Leave it alone and keep it that way. As for your friends...they're not your friends if they want you to drink with them. They simply need a drinking buddy and you seem young and naive to them.
Prove them wrong.
I never tried alcohol or smoking even though they were both being done by people around me. Avoiding them never seemed like a big deal to me.

I was very frank at uni and work, just told them bluntly i don't want to b around alcohol for religious reasons. Smoking i HATE and walk away from smokers so i don't breathe it in. Christmas parties, i knew it would just b ppl getting drunk n sillier by the minute, so i avoided them. Once a manager was quite upset bcos i kept declining his invite for which they had paid £500 a head for. I think he thought he was deprived young lady who needed to be shown the bright lights of london, fine dining and dancing. WEIRDO!

i find it bit hard to defend my self for not having a GF 
to the topic,
staying away from alcohal was not a big deal for me but i m a smoker, i use to smoke alot in college days just to show off.. .but then quit as i didnt find it addictive as soon as i finished college. Still i smoke occasionally .. . 1 or 2 cgs a month or some times no cig for many months.

I dont know about this. In my experience amwricans ask us first if we drink and once they find out they never insist in future. even at parties if its just us none drinkers then they go out of their way to have soft drinks or other non-alcoholic drinks. I also make sure that if i am inviting anyone for the first time I as for any allergies and food issues and along the way mention that wont be serving alcohol. they seem to understand. we have been lucky that way and havent had any uncomfortable situations to deal with. as far as smoking goes. these days smoking is a bigger taboo here so almost everyone we know doesnt smoke. I guess younger crown still in the experimental age are smoking more. we have a shisha/huqa at home and when the middle son comes to visit he and his friends smoke that sometimes. the oldest has no such habits. I myself grew up with a chain smoking dad and cant stand the smell.

Yh i agree, some desis are jus off the limit, tryin to show off, completley frogetting their culture, religion etc, really shameful...Some goras do understand but most em are jus like desis....not much difference!

Well as i said before i mostly got offered from ppl who i dont even know. I hate this habbit of smoking or drinking, and i try my best to stay out of it. I try not to keep company with ppl who drink or smoke. And yes i do agree with you mos these ppl normally need a company to drink! Hence they prolly offer!
