mazhabi junooni is not the correct translation of fundamentalist...
The fundamentalist translates into "Buniyaad parast" - the term is borrowed from fundamentalism in christianity...
so one who follows the fundamentals of a religion is fundamentalist but it is used in wrong connotation now.... quite ironic.

how come the fundamentalism word is being strewn along where all it means it someone being religious, as long as they dont hurt others. am i right? :>

Some words get modified along the way and their original meaning changes. Being "religious" is regarded as being non-liberal in many cultures and therefore, people who stick to religious fundamentals are considered fundamentalists in the negative sense.

In Urdu Janoon charna is a condition which is not under your control , meaning you cannot control it . It also refers to something someone does at the spur of the moment because that person lost control on himself/herself and committed something heinous. But the people who are being termed majhabi janooni plan their activities meticulously, in great details with all zeal and fervor.
