LOL. I wouldn’t be concerned with the smell. It’s down there anyway and besides, living in a desi house where desi dishes are made everyday, I think it’d be easy for desis at least to bardasht that smell, nahi?

u NEED to see a gynaecologist. doing anything else might just make it worse. she will give u medicine and all that, there is a whole procedures for such infections, pls go to one soon!

i've heard that drinking lots of cranberry juice helps.
if you can't take the tart taste of the craberries, try the cran-grape version..
ohh..and eat lots of yogurt too :D

I have also heard abt cranberry juice being good for these purposes. Now are yeast infections different than UTI?

Infection is treated with antibiotics. Herbal remedies can help with some things but when there is a bacterial infection, the only cure is an antibiotic. Period. Dont fool around with it cause you'd be playing with your future potential for childbearing. For example, there MAY be some herbal remedies that will ease the SYMPTOMS...but the infection is still there whether you know it or not. And it will only spread until your reproductive capability can become compromised. No easy out, its not pleasant to see an OB/GYN but its an unfortunate necessity of ladies lives.

UTIs and yeast infections are 2 entirely different things.....and also present with different symptoms.
most of the times women think it is a yeast infection when it is not.....if u r having the symptoms for the first time the best thing to do is see ur doc....it is not sth pleasant but can save from future problems...just as someone mentioned,if it sth else like a bacterial infection it can cause a serious complications....
hope not scaring u....just that u shouldn't take it casually and try home remedies and desi tootkaas without proper doctor consultation....

I thought there was over the counter medicine for yeast infections?
Yeast infections are due to a fungus, not a bacteria. I don't think antibiotics will work on fungi.
