A MiG-21 fighter plane of the Indian Air Force crashed in Barmer district on Monday night but the pilot bailed out safely, official reports said on Tuesday.

The plane, on a regular training flight, crashed while attempting to land at Uttarlai air strip in high velocity wind conditions around 10 pm on Monday night, police said.

The pilot Flt Lt Pratap Singh ejected safely using a parachute, police added.

The debris of the fighter plane was strewn near Lalanio ki dhani, 10 kilometers from Barmer town.

Abdali, where is the IAF crash counter right now? I think you might have to design a new counter with this exceptional crash rate...
