Agreed on all points, I think that Malik deserves a spot on the team and if he does’nt get in for the ODI’s its a terrible shame.
Yassir proved himself in Australia and against India last year. The only available spot in the middle order is the Vice Captains and that aint happening.
To be honest I wouldnt mind seeing Taufiq dropped for Yassir. Taufiq may have made a decent score but he did’nt inspire confidence in his batting, his innings were consistantly chancy and thats not the way to play in Tests. 44 or not, I would’nt play him in the next match.
Asim deserves his spot and will be on the team a long time. I can see him captaining the Test team some day. Better than anything else are his quotes, the man is genuinely humble and a great guy.
As for the Seniors taking up spots, that is true but I would never go into a match without Inzi or Youhana as long as they are available. Both guys have unquestionable class and their stats speak for themselves. I dont see how anyones can criticize batsmen with test averages close to 50.
That said I think Inzi will be retired in a year or two especially with his bad back. At that stage we’ll see who else comes along form the Domestic ranks.
I didn't mean to question Asim's inclusion, what I meant was that I'm sure there are plenty of other Asim Kamal's waiting for a shot in middle order. As you said, Inzi won't last long so we have to have more of solid middle order batsmen otherwise we'll endup in same situation as we have with openers today.
^True enough. Well there are several good Middle Order Gusy in teh ranks from what I here. There are actually 2 guys named Aamir Basheer and Faisal Ather who were almost chosen for this tour.
The people who are questioning Younis Khan's inclusion in the team are the same ones who lobbied for Asim to be excluded after he had failed a grand total of one time against the Sri Lankans......Furthermore, they are the same ones who rather see Salman the idiot Butt and Taufiq the numbnut Umer in place of Yasir Hameed.....regardless of how poorly the idiot and numbnut collectively perform nor how well Yasir Hameed does....

Dude, its a massive strech to call T. Umar a speacilist batsman. He gave as many chances as runs during his batting yesterday. The guy seriosuly scares me when he’s at the crease. Mind you Yasir was’nt doing much better in the last 4-5 months, but his play in Australia was decent.
T. Umer is a specialist screw up.....I can't believe the amount of support he still garners.....people need to stop looking at thing through their ethnic prisms......
LOL, The comment is unfair. You think somebody would support him because of ethnicity. If they guy is a bad batsman he is bad. I dont think much of him, but he does have a very good test average despite all his struggles. He does average above 40.
toufeeq umer has made a comeback after a year and that too in a big match he has huge amounts of presure on him and did well, he is a proper test batsmen, once he gets his place in the team back he will get on form.
i am sorry but where is the talent. salman is a total flop since his 100 in one test in australia. taufeeq is in any case a crap. he had no clue what was going on in the last inning. those 4s he hot was just a fluke. Hameed has a temprament for test. but its my opnion, u dont need to embrace it.
also in any case i support my team. i support salmaan and taufeeeq as much as i do others.
