There is nothing racist about saying that Gog and Magog will dominate the earth.. Infact in one Hadith it says that God will say to Jesus (as) that He has created nations (gog and magog) that none on earth will be able to defeat.

Tomur, the son-in-law of Emperor Heraclius, sent another army to stop khalid’s corps but they were also defeated in the battle of Maraj-al-Safar after the corps of Abu Ubaidah and Shurabil bin Hasana joined him on 19th August 634 AD.
The next day Muslims finally reached Damascus and sieged the city which continued for 30 days. After defeating the Roman reinforcements sent by emperor Heraclius at Battle of Sanita-al-Uqab 20 miles from Damascus, Muslims finally attacked and conquered the city. The Conquest of Damascus held on 18th September 634 AD.

There was the Eastern Roman Empire called the Byzantine Empire which defeated the Arab attack on Constantinople.

Roman empire can not be called Gog and Magog. They had a lot of north african and Arab element mix in their armies. The Turkish, Germanics, Nordics, Russians were only a small minority in the whole army.
Secondly, the identity of Gog and Magog starts with their technological advancements. As muslims dominated this sphere until a few hundred years ago, Gog and Magog must those who came after the decline of muslim civilization.

This is the bas-relief in it is iconography of Cyrus, he wears a crown with two horns in it. And the name Dhulqarnain, means Two-horned.
Also, the Bible contains the Vision of Daniel … a part of it talks about a ram.
Standing before Daniel beside the canal was a ram with two long horns—one was longer than the other but grew up later. The ram charged toward the west and the north and the south. He did as he pleased and became great.
According to interpretation this ram is about the Media-Persia empire. The two horns being the two kings, but I think it is more accurate to say the two kingdoms. The left and right horns on Cyrus’ crown also represent this.
Alexander was pagan, but Cyrus was a follower of Zoroaster - a monotheist.

There are clues in this passage from Isiaiah … look at the blatant references to bronze and iron. Bronze is mainly a mixture of copper and tin, but the word originates from birinj = copper in Persian! Also it talks about gates, and it gives reference to places where the sun sets and rises.
Map this on to the Qur’anic verses we have on Dhulqarnain.
There are arab references to Dhulqarnain being angelic (more specifically an angel without wings) … look at the bas-relief again and you will see that Cyrus has been given wings, obviously placed as a metaphor to denote an angelic personality.
In Qur’an 18:86 - Dhulqarnain travels to a place where sun sets in murky waters.
Look at the map. The area between Media and Persia is the middle of the region that Cyrus controlled. (Can you see the pinch to the land between the gulf and the Caspian sea? the land east and west of this pinched region would be the two horns)

We know sun setting means west, because that is where the sun sets. Also, in the vision the ram charges towards the west.
In Quran 18:89 it says he followed another way. Verse 90 states the rising place of the sun, the vision from the Bible states north and south as the other directions. I don’t think these are written in order like the Qur’an. For good reason the north direction is reserved for last. Therefore the south direction must be in line with the rising of the sun. i.e. the East. Travelling south-east from the Dead Sea takes you deep in to the Arabian deserts. The deserts are a place indeed where protection from the sun is not given.
The vision says north. The Qur’an says he takes another way. Directly north of the deserts takes you into the mountainous terrains of the Lower Caucasus and the Greater Caucasus, two mountain ranges alinged horizontally between the Caspian sea and the Black Sea (not to be confused with the Dead Sea).

Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia interface this region. This is important as it is in this region that the people who were seeking protection from Yajuj and Majuj are to be found.
This is a satellite picture from the east side of the palisades of the two mountain ranges, looking west. The second largest patch of water on this map is the Barda in Azerbaijan, the biggest patch of water is the Sevan in Armenia and the land to the far side of the two ranges is Georgia. You can see a bit of Turkish territory and a lot of Russian territory on the map also. The lower caucasus is to the left and curves, where the Greater caucasus is to the right and is straighter.
Look again through all the maps, you will notice a patch of land which is all in current Georgia territory. It is over the river and it is sort of enclosed at both sides east and west. The eastern border of the enclosure is T’bilisi the city and the western border is just north of Khashuri.
Going back to T’bilisi move north and you will get to a very high mountain in the Greater Caucasus range, it is called Kazbek and to the foot of the mountain is a small and narrow pass that connects this enclosure to the other side of the range. This is the most likely place for skirmishes to happen. And low and behold we have it. The Darial Pass is the location of something called the iron gates.
Then we come to the interesting bit. The gates of Dhulqarnain themselves.

Some people in this thread need to stop passing off their theories as facts, which they certainly are not. There are various arguments for and against pretty much every race being yajooj majooj and just meeting a few of the requirements means that you are disregarding the rest of the description.
Also, my theory is simple. Maybe Yajuj Majuj are not literal. Maybe they symbolize some kind of a disease. Maybe a virtue.
