True. Our local Imam was once telling us in the Masjid that King Zulqarnain, Alexander the Great and an another person were the first people to discover the entire world. I thought what a dodo that Imam was (he was educated and brought from Pakistan).

2) If you study the story, you will see zul-Qarnain recognizing the only ONE true God. Alexander was a pagan... Kurosh was a true Zoroastrian who believed in Ahura Mazda (al-Karim).
3) This story you narrated from surah Kahaf is of Cyrus/Kurosh/zul-Qarnain who himself released the Jews from Babylon to go back to their homeland a LONG TIME AGO; like 500BC. That is when the Torah was written down.

Since he is famous for wearing a 2 horned helmet and "Zulqarnain" in arabic means:

Qarn = Horns ; qarnain = two horns
Also, the most probable location of the great wall of Zulqarnain is in the Caucasus Range in the Black Sea.

And most likely the Wall which is supposed to be at a mountain pass surrounded by mountains, it seems the most logical that it is in that area (Caucasus Mountains) between the black sea and the caspian sea.
In general the scholars have argued over 4 fours as being possible walls of Zulqarnain. This includes the wall of China. And they have come to the conclusion that the most reasonable one that fits the need and description as in the Quran and Hadith, plus historic proofs is the one near the Caucasus.
Another reason that Cyros (Persian name "Kurush buzurg") has the same time perdiod as Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and in some ahadith it is mentioned that he was obedient to Prophet Ibrahim AS and his follower. (WAllahu Alam)
Plus Cyros's expeditions seem to coincide with what the Quran states of Zulqarnain, West, East and a third direction.

It’s not the Jews. The ancesters of the Turks are Yajuj Wa Majuj and the wall is somewhere in central Asia, in or around Armenia.
In the Qur’an Allah Almighty sometimes says that a day to Him is equivalent to our one thousand years (22:47,32:5) and at others He mentions around 50,000 years (70:4). Allah Almighty also says again and again that the Judgement Day will happen, is happening and has already happened. He also describes people who are in Heaven and Hell right now.
All that just means that Allah Almighty is not bound by time… all thes thousands of years are only a single moment to Him. So, Muslims should not indulge in predicting heavenly events according to man-made calenders.

Prophet Ibrahim AS is considered the father of the 3 divine religions present today. Since it is from his progeny of Prophet Ishaq that countless prophets came. Untill Prophet Esa AS was sent. Similary from Ismael AS came Rasul Allah SAW.
So Prophet Ibrahim needs to be in the 500 BC + era.

Dzu al Qarnain (Zulqarnain/dhul-qarnayn) - the two horned one, one belonging to two century, or two generation, master of two states/kingdoms. The surname of Cyrus (Darius 1) the ruler of Media and Persia which were combined into a single kingdom under him.
