^ Yeah..at the end only Allah SWT knows the real truth since it is not in any authentic hadeeth spelled out for us.

I really think such topic are test for the ummah. We have to believe but not argue.
May Allah SWT guide us.

Not really... it is this "believe and not argue" stance that has gotten us in this mess to begin with. Having a difference of opinion is a good thing if you have a valid reason... you presented your argument, I presented mine. This is not a negative discussioin.

the only other explanation could be that its under snow in the Caucasus mountains but even that doesn't make sense as how could they build a wall in such conditions....

by the way, I also heard that the Dajjal, the anti-christ is in Antartica

any truth to this?

The verse does not state a specific nation. It clearly says 'any nation' which includes Jews.
Jews have not been able to return (not even once) to their homeland in 1000s of years, until recently.

I saw a lecture by an ulema (Imran Hosein) who explained that this "wall/barrier" is not physical, but a symbol/metaphor representing something else. He was of the opinion that this barrier was pierced when the Turkish Caliphate collapsed and was replaced by a Secular Turkey (under Ataturk), in 1923.. the same year in which Britain took control of Palestine (by Mandate) & the time period in which Jews were being shipped to Palestine.

He referred to the West (Europeans, and later America) as Yajuj & Majuj. I agree with him, since I don't know of any other nation(s) which have caused as much corruption (around the world) as these Europeans (i.e. colonization). The state of Africa today is a product of European corruption, and they still continue to loot Africa with things such as "aid" (which attached with interest ruins African economies further. Check the amount of foreign debt & debt growth, in their economic surveys).

According to hadeeth, Dajjal was locked up in chains, east of Arabia, on an island. We do not know if he has been released. How far east? Its not mentioned.

Yes (according to Hadeeth).

But the verse I posted in the initial post, from the Quran, is from the Quran which is a book more authentic than any book of Hadeeth. So, I would have to go with the Quran (due to the current knowledge I have of the topic).
The message in the verse is very simple: any nation (destroyed by Allah) will not be able to come together again (i.e. as a state) until Yajuj & Majuj are released. We know that the Jewish state-nation was destroyed/cursed/exiled and stayed in exile for 1000s of years, until recently when it became sovereign again. The only thing that this indicates is that Yajuj & Majuj have been released.

Could be, but I doubt it. According to Hadeeth, there was a convert who set sail in the ocean (before converting), and had this encounter with Dajjal. This convert is the one which reveals some of the details of Dajjal, which turn out to be similar or same as the ones previous revealed by the Prophet to the people, hence the mention of the account in the Hadeeth.
Because this convert had 'sailed' in the ocean, it proves that it was a wind-powered vessel, which is incapable of travelling at highspeeds, and imo could not have reached all the way to Antartica and back to Arabia. Also since it lacks power, I don't think it would've been able to penetrate the ice around Antartica.
Also, the guy & his crew were lost in the ocean, and had no idea where they were going.

and since its covered with ice, it could hide the dajjal

because i don't think there are any other islands left on the world that haven't been explored
