Re: “Ya-Rasulullah”
Brother, nowhere did I imply that you do not know about what I had written and I am sure that you know a lot more. (I am sorry if you got the impression otherwise.) That’s the reason I had stated:
And say not of those who are killed in the Way of Allâh, “They are dead.” Nay, they are living, but you perceive (it) not. - 2:154
The above ayah was revealed after the Battle of Uhud, when the Mushriqeen and hypocrites started spreading the vicious propaganda that had the people heeded to their advice they would not have died in vain. Because the Mushriqeen believed that when a person dies - that‘s the end of everything – the person is just obliterated without having to account for their deeds.
The following ayahs state the stance of the Mushriqeen.
And they used to say, "What! when we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be raised up again?-
“(We) and our fathers of old?” 56:47 - 48
"Yea, those of old and those of later times,
"All will certainly be gathered together for the meeting appointed for a Day well-known. 56:49 - 50
Allah responds to their propaganda and explains to them and the believers who are martyred in the Cause of Allah are actually enjoying a better life with their Lord than those on earth, but the people who are alive are not able to perceive that honorable life.
The Prophet of Allah (saws) died his death, and is buried in his grave. As will all the human beings who have died, they are now in a state of life called the ‘barzakh’. The life of ‘barzakh’ and its laws are known to Allah Alone, and cannot be perceived by the human beings of this earth.
Please read the following:
In the verse, “And say not of those who are killed in the Cause of Allah, ‘They are dead.’ Nay they are living.” (2:154) Allah subhanahu wa taala informs us that those who are killed in the Cause of Allah subhanahu wa taala are in their Barzakh (period between death and resurrection), finding their sustenance in the presence of Allah subhanahu wa ta`ala.
In Sahih Muslim, it is mentioned that: “The souls of the martyrs live in the bodies of green birds who have their nests in chandeliers hung from the Arsh of Allah subhanahu wa taala. At one time their Lord took a glance at them and said: ‘Do you want anything?’ They said: ‘What more can we desire after You have given us that which you have not given to any of Your Servants?’ Allah subhanahu wa ta`ala asked them the same question again.
When they realised that they would continue to be asked, they said: ‘We wish that You (Allah) may return us to the Earthly life so that we would be slain in Your Way another time’ – they wanted to do that because of the reward involved in martyrdom – Allah subhanahu wa ta`ala would say:** ‘I have prescribed that to it (Earthly life) they shall not return.**’” (Sahih Muslim)
On the authority of Kab ibn Malik, Imam Ahmad narrated: “The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: ‘Ar-Ruh (the soul) of the believer is a bird sitting in the trees of the Paradise waiting until Allah returns it to his body on the day He resurrects him.’” (Sahih) This also implies that all the believers, though the martyrs were specifically mentioned and honoured in the Qur’an as a recognition of their greatness.

Isn’t it true that Firoun (Pharaoh) or likes of Abu Jahl, the cusred, are ‘alive’ in the sense that you are talking about and are languishing ‘somewhere’.
What sister Sadiyah has stated is true and Surah Fatiha clearly states that for our needs we should ask only from Allah.
*In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds,
The Beneficent, the Merciful.
Master of the Day of Judgment,
Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help.
Show us the straight path,
The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray.*

Re: "Ya-Rasulullah"
The premise of this whole topic is pretty stupid. No where is any sunni books that I know or I have talked to elders about have I heard or read that Ya-Rasoolullah means he (rasul) is greater than Allah himself!
I think that is the reason wahabis / deobandis are against salaam after the jum'aa prayers on Fridays isn't it?
That is main problem with this sect. In the name of returning to fundamentals and only following quran, they invent meanings of words themselves (funny that we have pakis here discussing arabic as if Pakistani official language is arabic).
Yet these are the same people who reject great sunni scholars who came before them and had a higher chance of access to sahabas than today's muslims never will!

Who are the great Sunni scholars that we reject?
Re: "Ya-Rasulullah"
AHMED RAZA KHAN BARELVI miss sadiyah hahaha
Re: “Ya-Rasulullah”
Wahais / deobandis (as you label) are not against Salam. They not only send the salam only on Fridays, but every day, after every prayer using the words and manner taught to the companions by Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H himself. They consider the words of Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H. as the best and his taught method of Salam as the best and so follow the same.
