lets say ur hubby wants to have a second wife. he says he will give u the same life as before, ur own house, expenses etc. just that he wants to marry another woman whom he thinks needs him. or wateva.

i wouldnt agree..will def. try talking things through...but i would never ever want a souten..maybe because i have been brought up in a western society..marrying into family is bad enough to understand(marrying ur own cousin).... i can never understand men having the right to 4 wives!

Well thats perfect except it’s allowed in Islam to marry a second wife whereas its’ not allowed for you to have a second hubby, unless you get a divorce from first hubby 
There’ve been millions of threads on this topic…basically it comes down to, just coz men can, doesnt mean they actually WILL marry another woman! He has a hard enuff time dealing with one wifey’s nakhray

LOL yes. my hubby says the same thing kay aik kay nukhry hi bhut hain. This situation is never going to apply to me which is why I can say with confidence what I did. (having a sotun for my hubby).

Few years back slavery was OK, sutti was OK and so many other creepy things were a norm too. So who cares if marrying more than one woman was common. In today's society men with multiple wives don't have very good reputation either. (atleast the ones i know).
Yes, islam allows 4 wives but does not encourage it & we all know how uncommon it is.

Satti = Burning women alive who have LOST their husbands. That is like comparing dead with those who are alive. How can you even compare or say that since satti is no longer practiced, same could happen with men marrying multiple women RATHER THAN women who cannot find husbands going into prostitution, online sex play (as it already happens) and become a whore, a burden to the society and the culture?
Marrying multiple women by legally binding contract which is accepted all over the world IS NOT SAME as Slavery... again, where is the comparision in that?

but this is definitely a tuffie! i guess i'd get back on my husband( Allah forbid) by payin him back in his coins... n prolly pull up an affair with his best bud (if he's available n has a rovin eye too :D).. or else ill just hav a pretend bf.. but id definitely not let myself be his doormat!
