I won't be ready for 3 years. Need to get my financial status in order.... that'll take three years methinks. 2 years to pay off my car and buy my own place, then 1 more year to recover from the financial shock of that and buy my own place.
My parents have made it clear that no marriage for me until I show that I'm responsible by becoming independent....and by my reckoning (see above) that'll take 3 years.
