You remember Vijay Laxmi Pundit ? Nehru’s sister. Jawahir Laal Nehru wrote many books including ‘Discovery of India’. Door Darshan made a series ‘Bharata - ek khoj’ on this book revolving around history of sub-continent. Jawahir Laal Nehru’s niece ( Vijay Laxmi Pundit’s daughter) Nayantara Sahgal is the first female English fiction writer of India.

The thing is..everything changes with time.
Even literature was made by humans.We humans made it..considered it beautiful and think we destroyed it over time.
If you remember once I said its abt not changing…we are always stuck in the past.
Muqa told few days back in TP…to enjoy the present instead of ebing stuck in the past…similarly we should enjoy the modified literature we have today…aaj se bees saal baad…ye bhi nahi raheyga :no:

Its a book, but Musharraf can't be considered a writer like ZA Bhutto or Benazir Bhutto

Even Fatima Bhutto's first two books are about fiction, one being poetry

That’s not about stucking in the past, we were discussing that it was easy to get famous in the past compared to now a days and it applies in every field not just literature. Competition has increased now a days, as a result of which i feel people are not getting their hands on good books. There are many writers who are not famous but, there work is much better and they don’t get any appreciation for that.

Faiz Ahmed Faiz's grandchildren Adeel Hashmi and Mira Hashmi ( children of writer Shoaib Hashmi) are also in the field of writing. Adeel wrote scripts of many sit-coms
