I’ve been watching Maury, and they have the show about cheating wives who have a child whos father may not be the husband. so i wondered how muslims would react. would you stay with your spouse if they cheated on you? men would you stay with your wife if she cheated on you and had a child by another man? would stay with your spouse if they cheated more than one time? what would you do?

Nope. I am too sensitive, it would really get to me. I may end up forgiving them later I dont know, but I wouldnt remain married to them. I'm not that strong.

I think I will have to agree with Munni, it would really hurt me since I am sensitive but I am also very forgiving. It would depend if she honestly feels bad and would be honest. I really can not say, but it hurts me just thinking about it.

i've never been in the situation but from what i hear..when you're in it..it's hard to leave. you say you'd leave but it's really really tough

Infidelity issue is always interesting because people’s “heart is broken”, their “trust is shattered”, some say it is a moral issue, other cite religion. Here is low down, did you start the relationship with the same mentality that you are equating it now with? Did you use the same morals in choosing your partner that you are equating him/her with now? Our Prophet (PBUH) first marriage was like this, his (PBUH) wife found out about his morals, without meeting him and seeing him than proposed. How many of us would marry like this?
Most of the relationships begin with face value, status, money, bank balance, future, green card and how the kids would look like. What moral make up is this when choosing your partner? So, don’t pick and choose morals during difficult times, it never works in real world, time and certainly makes one look like a hypocrite.

We have to understand one thing… human beings are not perfect…if they would have by any chance…then there wouldnt be any difference in angels and human beings…

Depends upon the "Nature" and "Intensity" of cheating, and my behaviour would vary accordingly.
I might stop talking to her (for a certain time) in "lighter" cases and might be forced to leave in "intense" cases.
May Allah not put anyone in such a tough test. Ameen.
