Lets say God Forbid but your husband or wide died… would you consider re-marrying? Also lets say there are two circumstances you have children or you dont have children.
Re: Would you re-marry?
Marriage shouldn't depend on existence of a wife and kids . Its more like heatsink . If one is not enough , get another one .

what? lol!
Re: Would you re-marry?
reminded me of this joke:
WIFE: "What would you do if I died? Would you get married again?"
HUSBAND: "Definitely not!"
WIFE: "Why not - don't you like being married?"
HUSBAND: "Of course I do."
WIFE: "Then why wouldn't you remarry?"
HUSBAND: "Okay, I'd get married again."
WIFE: "You would? (with a hurtful look on her face)."
HUSBAND: (makes audible groan).
WIFE: "Would you sleep with her in our bed?"
HUSBAND: "Where else would we sleep?"
WIFE: "Would you replace my pictures with hers?"
HUSBAND: "That would seem like the proper thing to do."
WIFE: "Would she use my golf clubs?"
HUSBAND: "No, she's left-handed."

Re: Would you re-marry?
I don't see any reason for not re-marrying. The only reason could be grown up kids who would definitely not want to see a replacement for their father/mother.
Re: Would you re-marry?
Why not? If no kids, then I would remarry when life gives another chance. I would be more selective and unsure if I had kids.
Lol, this reminds me of how women ask this question to their husbands and get bothered with answers. I think in my case it will be the opposite.
Re: Would you re-marry?
I would consider it. Spending the rest of my life without doesn't sound like something I'd want.
If I didnt have kids...I would remarry for sure...but keep all of his good memories with me.
If I did have kids...I would be very selective in choosing a partner and probably would take my time. But eventually...I might do it.
Re: Would you re-marry?
i probably would get remarried
Re: Would you re-marry?
I would not remarry, regardless of existence of children.
Re: Would you re-marry?
without kids I would have but now with kids, I wont not until they are old enough to fight for themselves.
All those stories about evil step-mom that we have read from my childhood (and from all cultures) will not allow me to remarry.
Re: Would you re-marry?
I have children who are well on the way to growing up, and Allah forbid anything should happen to my hubby, I would never marry. I love being married to hubz, no one would ever even come close to his love and the way he is. No other person could give my children the love their own father gives them. I would probabley feel lonely and miss hubz but i would concentrate on my children. On the other hand being without children, that's a competely different set of circumstances, one can think of re-marrying.

Why is that? Do men (or women) just not know when their wives/husbands are pure evil? I don't think all stepmothers are bad, but I have heard of many situations where the step-parent is given much more importance than the child.... Not only with desis, but I can't remember how often I have read newspaper accounts of children being killed by their mother's boyfriend/stepdad.
Re: Would you re-marry?
Why to take unnecessarry risks? Why would someone buy a Tea Estate for a cup of tea?

no matter how much you know other person, how much you try to balance ur life, to-date, marriage is a gamble and kids are too high price to pay -- for me at least.
Re: Would you re-marry?
If we remember, a shot while ago there was a female on this forum, telling about how her new pakistani stepmum is trying to manipulate her father. It's awful stories like this that show the step parent in an evil light. No offence to anyone but men are more likely to be blinded by things said by the new wife than a wife who had a new hubby.
