/\ Justice (R) Qayyum sided with Musharraf & Co's standpoint on Chief Justice reference. His appointment as the Attorney General could be a reward for that.
In addition, this guy has very little integrity (if any). A few years back his taped conversation(s) with a former Law Minister were made public by an ISI Major, in which he reassured his bosses that he would give the verdict as they wanted. I am sure you can find a lot of info about that on google.
