Enigmatic...he had Duodenal Cancer; it was removed by doing a resection and was given chemotherapy that’s used for other gastric cancers. Again they really don’t have much information on this type. The doc who diagnosed him said in his 40 years of experience this was his first case of it, and that it’s something they just read in the books abt. It is common in middle eastern.

But a resection means a good prognosis ..since surgery is usually done at an earlier stage when the cancer hasn't spread. But then again duodenal or any other gastric cancer is quite tricky. But after chemotherapy too IA the recovery chances would be good !

yes resection was a good prognosis and they were able to remove everything, they also gave him a full dosage of chemotherapy so inshallah we wont see that ugly thing every again. Thanks for the wishes.

I think i'd see how much i like him to begin with, if hes worth the pain ill take it. no one knows when we'll die right? i can get hit by a car right now. but that person should be really worth it.
second ill see his family, are they supportive? or do they expect me to be a patient too? when my dad was sick, my phupos didnt let my mother go out of the house saying 'ye kaahan jayegee ... iska miya to bemar hai.. ? so yeah.. such attitude would really put me off.
and what type of cancer is it?? Alot of times, it never comes back.

the way i would view it is, if i saw this guy as someone who is compatiable in every way for me, and ignore the fact hes in remission i would go for it, who can predict what Allah has in store for us? no one really, for all i know Allah na kare i could get knocked over by a bus and not survive but my partner who is in remission would continue that way for the rest of his life.. inshallah hope ur brother is blessed with health and finds someone who will love him for who he is :) xx
