I personally think it's very hypocritical of the guys who have done it to look for truly "pure" girls and act all innocent in front of the girl's family. I mean if they had the guts to do it themselves then they should just marry the girl they did it with or get a non-virgin and marry that girl, that way they'd both be equal and thus there would be no question of being pure or not.
i know there's no way of telling for sure if someone's done it or not but i guess you could ask their friends or someone close to them about it? or just spend time with them and hint towards it discreetly?
How will anyone know? Who will ask him? What will his answer be?

I prefer to find out about the guy's habits, social circle, character, activities, friends, family, etc. That will tell me what I need to know about the guy.

I would rather the guy knew what he was doing. I would be more concerned about a previous emotional attachment. You can compete with a one-night-stand, not the one-who-got-away.
