Well--the past is past, it doesn't really matter. It never did matter to begin with. Whatever hte situation is, I trust him :)

Needlessly dwelling upon past without learning anything from it is stupid, but your past cannot be irrelevant to who you are today. Your past defines you; it has made you what you are. There is nothing wrong in trying to understand somebody's personality in the context of their whole life.

guys DO talk wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much about their ex…but honestly it’s a BIG turn off!
when i hear a guy talking about his “ex” i fell a voice in my head saying “NEXT”…“goodbye!”
so please don’t ask about my ex, and i won’t ask about yours!!

why would a woman want to talk with her partner about her happy moments with her ex lol she should get ready for a divorce or break up.

Yes i would listen to him but only if he is loyal to me and loves me - but if i feel even a bit that he is trying to make me jealous then i can always start telling him about my ex and well he doesnt need to hear about my ex to get jealous he even gets jealous when he sees me looking at a cute guy or if i have a cute guy friend :S (Thank God all my guy friends have good things to say about me so that pisses him off and he is on his toes 24x7 to make me happy devil) but well my boyfriend doesnt have an ex actually Happy Happy :D

I think it's important to have an honest relationship with one's partner...if there are things from the past which have significantly shaped/affected your partner's life, and s/he wants to talk about these things then I feel it's important to try to listen to them...
However, if you feel uncomfortable about hearing anything, it's equally important to let them know...

I will be completely honest to my fiance once we get past the first month. I have the feeling to get it off my chest and thats what you women do not understand. We tell you mostly because we want it off our chest and want to be comepletely honest.

I would listen to him talk. How somebody talks about his or her ex can let you know what kind of person they are. And I wouldn't be involved with someone I couldn't trust anyway, so I wouldn't worry about him still being in love with his ex.

Well my hubs didnt spend 7 yrs with his ex. Heck he had a life b4 he met me but so do most ppl. So to me it doesnt matter at all cos we have been married for longer than he was with his ex and cos he doesnt have fond memories of their time together, i have no reason to get all jealous and wound up by it? What for? Hes married ME and had a baby with ME.
