Re: Would you like to move back to Pakistan?
Its just the way they act which makes it impossible for me to deal with them
yeah. You have no idea how bad they are.
Good thing we have shipped the worst ones Out to USA/CANADA/Europe/UAE.
Where do u live any ways??
Re: Would you like to move back to Pakistan?
kewl, so u just shipped the bad ones out. dunn apply to the ones that were born abroad. I would have been offended because that would mean that the 'worst ones" title would apply to my folks but luckily when they left Pak, they did not go to any of the above listed places. whew
Re: Would you like to move back to Pakistan?
yarr i was just reacting to what that other guy said.
I didn't mean it.
Re: Would you like to move (or move back) to Pakistan?
I know :) but had to get on your case anyways :D
Re: Would you like to move (or move back) to Pakistan?
With all it's evils Pakistan does have a culture which is sort of addictive. Yes the people are difficult. one can never let one's guard down, whether on the road while driving, in the house, shopping ....you name it. this can drain one's energy and if it wasn't for yoga I think I would have lost it. I personally had some horrible experiences and even though i lived there for some 6 years , i never got over the culture shock. Having said that, I must say that some of the most amazing people I met are from pakistan. I love their sense of humor and their resilience to face and live in most adverse circumstances. The thing that struck me is their resourcefulness. I know for a fact that when my car had a flat in any other country, not a single soul stopped to offer help except in pakistan where the passer-by stops and not only changes the tyre but refuses to be compensated for it.
I am moving back for a variety of reasons, and one of them is the fact that I would rathar face the set of problems in pakistan and be a first class citizen than live the life of luxury and ease and be a Third class citizen anywhere else in the world!
Re: Would you like to move (or move back) to Pakistan?
Badmash
Re: Would you like to move back to Pakistan?
Also, when was the last time you paid a visit to Pakistan?
I paid a tribute to "Lahore" in 2004 to attend a cousin's wedding for 12days.
Moving back why?
I don't have any plan to visit, in near future. I love life set up in west and so can't cope with any other system. I've family n everything here (UK). Moreover, I hate hot weather, and love cold.:)

Re: Would you like to move (or move back) to Pakistan?
Pakistan is great if your relatively well-off, but the social and economic inequalities is always eating away at you... Unless you can ignore such things, you can never really be happy there.
Re: Would you like to move (or move back) to Pakistan?
Get the real picture, its all frickin media that tells you everything is cool and dandy in US, in all reality people still lives on street and they still sleep hungry but we dont see that picture everyday. Crime rate in thi scountry is higher then any Muslim country and crimes are lot more brutal then third world.
Only reason why I am here, at age 25 I own my own house, had two cars and now I am 28, work for National Company as a Regional Manager and consider myself in everyday life. If that means I have to choose I will choose living in USA 1000% better then living in Pakistan, no offense to any rational fanatic. Its the hard core fact, try to go back to Pakistan and by the time you enetr Airport after your arrival you are going to miss USA.....
If my parents and siblings are not in Pakistan, I will not even think about going back..

"The only ones among you who will be truly happy are the ones who have sought and found a way to serve".
You are absolutely right Sir. if it wasn't for the support, good wishes and prayers of friends and strangers alike I would not be able to do a thing.Thank you for reminding me of the importance of well wishers and those noble men and women who are selfless in their service to the needy.
Re: Would you like to move (or move back) to Pakistan?
I came back to Lahore thee years back after living in USA for 6 years - I came back just in right time - One of the main reason was that i grew up here in Lahore..
