Before our resident feminazis get their panties in a twist, I am discussing this moral aspect of teaching. Must teachers be moral symbols of humanity - after all they are human.
And secondly once a porn star always a porn star? Or do you get a second chance?

Everyone deserves a chance to repent and reform and if this woman's past is truly in the past, then why not?
Would I approve of her teaching/telling the kids about or defending her past actions in school - heck to the no! But if she's left that behind, I think she should be entitled to teach. We never truly know anyone's backstory and some of the those "pious " teachers who are moulding our children are terrible people who should have no association with our kids, but we let them teach, so why not someone who's committed to educating children and can help them to succeed in their academic careers?
You talk about the moral aspect of teaching, well the truth is that many people wears cloaks of morality, but behind closed doors, they wear faces of evil and have and characters that are ugly - so who are we to judge someone if they have repented and the actions of their past don't reflect their now?

^ I haven’t read the article Gidsa :sid: I am answering the question generally, about IF someone had a colourful past and regretted it THEN I’d be okay with them teaching my child.
Do I want someone who remains or continues to work in the adult entertainment industry teaching my child - then no. But I’m differentiating between past actions and current lifestyle.

But if she were to become a teacher, how would her ex-porn career effect her teaching young children? She is obviously not going to inspire the kids to become porn stars, so I'm not seeing any rational reasoning as to why we would oppose her.

teaching is a sacred profession. I dont know. If she proves herself to be fitting enough for it, why not.
