In Pakistan, my cousins driver got a puppy as a gift on his marriage. It remained with him for 10 years. Later it became mad due to a disease, and started to run after people. Doctors said that it must be killed before it bites anyone. The driver shot it with his gun, but got very emotional later as the dog had served him for 10 years and was very dear to him.

Alot of people in the west like pets. If your pet is serverly injured due to an accident or suffers from a killing disease and you are in a situation or in a place where it is not possible to treat it or take it to the hospital immediatly.

Would you leave it to its miserable, slow and painful death or kill it ?

I once faced a situation like that. The innocence in it’s eyes did not allow me to kill it, and I had to leave it to its slow painful death, as the puppy’s body was completely broken into pieces, but it managed to breath for more than 24 hours.I kept puting water to its mouth through soaked cotton and put food in it’s mouth, till it died.

I feel bad when I think about it’s last painful moments.

There are better ways to put an animal to death. Shooting is cruel.

I would kill it.. And i always pray from Allah as well to give me an easy death… i don’t wanna suffer and then die :bummer:

I gues what you are talking about is if euthanizing is humane or not?? For humans its been in debate for couple of years, But for animals...I just dont know.When we were kids I remember that we had a goat whose daughter(yes her daughter...ate some roti from the servant quaters..)..It makes them too sick..and I remember our servant constantly asking us that can he have it slaughtered, so that it becomes halal(there is some sort of Islamic saying on that,) but anyway, I guess we couldnt say yes to that , and neither did our mother..I didnt see it die..but she ultimately did that night.
But back to the topic...If I put it on myself...I would not want to die a slow painful lingering death...but rather a fast one...and then again those r my thoughts...then there r people who think maybe something (a miracle) may happen..:)

The goat died because she ate roti? Never heard of that before. I've seen Pakistani animals eat roti and what not and they are fine most of the times.

in my childhood, I bought that colorful tiny fish from that bangaali bhai and put that fish in money-plant vase.... The littel fellow used to eat its roots ... one day I gave it a piece of Gulaab Jaamun and she died :(

it is better to relieve the animal from suffering
and put it to sleep - peacefully

Vets usually give injections to do the job

Ours were pygmy goats or something,In Urdu they were called Taidhi Bakriyaan... I dont know but thats wat used to happen if they ever would eat wheat..One of ours died becuz of that and one had what we call a near death experience becuz me and my bhai fed it parathas with jam..(it was her first day with us and we didnt know about the fact):)

Yaay qatl kahlaay ga. Kisi ko kisi tarha bhi marna jaan boojh kar qatal hoga. Khuwah janwar ya insaan. Qatil ka anjaam to sub ko maloom hi hota.

Kia koi kisi apnay maan, baap bahan bhai ya aulaad ko moat ki takleef say bachanay kay liaay injection day ga????? jo jawab aapka ho wo har shaay kay liaay hona chahyay.

In the 1994 Pulitzer Prize winning photograph on the left, an African boy, nothing but a skeleton, was trying to crawl towards a U.N. Food Shelter, about one kilometer away. Behind his back, a few yards away was a vulture waiting for the boy to die to feast. The vulture did not attack the living boy. It could have. But it has God-given law that it follows. Even the animals have law of God that they obey. Not the man. So many governments, groups and individuals have become worst than the vultures! May God have Mercy on the suffering humanity!

"By the Fig and the Olive, And the Mount of Sinai, And this City (Makkah) of security,- We have indeed created man in the best of moulds, Then do We abase him (to be) the lowest of the low,- Except such as believe and do righteous deeds: For they shall have a reward unfailing. Then what can, after this, contradict thee, as to the judgment (to come)? Is not Allah the wisest of judges?"(The Holy Quran, Surah 95)

Whosoever kills a human being without (any reason like) manslaughter, or corruption on earth, it is as though he had killed all mankind. And whoever saves a life it is as though he had saved the lives of all mankind." (The Holy Quran 5:32)

This commandment is in the Holy books of Jews and Christians also. There is the Day of Judgment for all! May God guide us all to the right path. ameen

Do not kill a soul which Allah has made sacred except through the due process of law ... (The Holy Quran)

Today, a man in a jungle, surrounded by wild beasts may be safer than in the midst of the most civilized societies!
Many governments, groups and individuals have become worst than the wild beasts!
Wolves are claiming to be shepherds and are complaining that sheep is bad!

Islam is a message for the salvation of humanity. It is to save not to destroy people. Islam is not terrorism. It is not for self revenge. It is not hate, it is love. Law of Islam is based on The Holy Quran and Sunnah. It is not what others do. There is a strict code of Law even in wars. Those Muslims who go against the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaho Alaihi Waalahi Wassallim) and commit crimes against humanity have to face Allah T'ala one day and answer to the Almighty. We all do! There is a Day of Judgment for all mankind! Let us be true followers of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaho Alaihi Waalahi Wassallim).

Heera Bhail. I respect your views, but according to Islam animals don't have soul (similarly as plants), due to which we can't compare humans with animals in such a case. What about the slaughtering of animals during eid-ul-adha. IS that also killing ?? We also kill snakes in our daily life for our protection, if we find them in our house, as it is not safe to first capture it and than put it in some place.

Having said that I do appreciate your sincerity with the society and mankind.

people around me, loved ones, family, friends, take priority .. and i will be damned! if an animal that served me poses their welfare at jeopardy ..

yea i would do a quick death ..

methods+details can differ. . . but yea i’ve a clear idea

We had a dog Germen Shappered he died at very young age.
Me and my friend dig a grave for puppy buried him.
After like 2 years out of curiosity we and same friend dig down that grave to find the skeleton.
But we didn't a thing.
Now we are grown ups we still woder some time, that where did his skeleton go.
