Feel bad for him? You should be congratulating him, the man has the key to jannah under his nose. Allah has deemed to be so merciful to him, He has given him a guaranteed path to jannah and this man is complaining?
Subhanallah. He should be grateful he has any children. The greatest blessing is having a child that is healthy and good. In this day and age you are extremely lucky if you get that. This attitude is pure jahiliyah and ungratefulness.
What about those poor people out there who would give anything to have a child? The man is ignorant to his own blessings. That’s just sad.
