Follow up question..since it is August. Would you feel less of a Pakistani if you required an organ and the only available match was that of an Indian person of unknown religion? What if you required blood transfusion and the only available blood is that of an Indian person? do you think it would dilute your Pakistaniyat/not be good enough? Would you rather wait for a Pakistani/non Indian option?

I read this somewhere but i don’t think it’s a common sentiment at all.

I’m claustrophobic & have fear of being buried alive. So I wanna to make sure I’m really dead when they put me 6ft under.

lol…qabr is just a place where dead body is stored…'azaab is not carried out on one’s dead body…it’s carried out on the soul…'azaab will get to one’s soul no matter where it is. it’s like 'azaab in one’s dream.

Yes I would donate whatever I can - even after death eyes can be donated to give sight to someone. How amazing is that!
I think it’s a selfless thing to do to help someone in need and working in a hospital and seeing first hand how many people there are who need help, it opens your eyes to how lucky you are just to be able to walk around and see and speak to others.

Inshallah I will donate whatever I can. I’ve made it a tradition to donate blood on my birthday as well, and my husband always accompanies me.

Most likely only for a family member. Though i’d be open to do it for a stranger, I wouldn’t donate my organs once I was dead though.

It makes sense to. I’m going to be dead at the time. I’ll have bigger issues to deal with than what happens to this temporary vessel. If my last act is going to be a charitable one then more power to me

some do and some don’t…there was a case in the US where a child died because the parents refused blood transfusion…the parents were charged with murder but later acquitted on the grounds of religious beliefs.

That’s actually ridiculous and wrong on the part of the medical team at that hospital. In the US and Canada, doctors can get a court order to operate on a minor - if the parents or a guardian is putting that child in danger medically - be it for religious or personal reasons.
