What if Trump becomes our president (let’s all laugh first) and his ban on Muslims entering the US actually happens? Say you are caught in the middle of all this chaos and you happen to be coming back to the US from abroad. Would you deny being Muslim to be able to re-enter the country? Let’s forget how they will actually accomplish this. I just want to know what would you give importance to in a situation like this: lying about your religious affiliation to reunite with your family or get deported because your conscience (and faith?) doesn’t allow you to lie about your faith?
I know this sounds ridiculous and my common sense tells me lying in this situation will make more sense but would you do it? Does Islam allow that?
Or imagine how many people are waiting for their spouses to come over on spouse visas or fiance visas (to get married here), etc. Or what about students waiting to start their schooling here, and they're in the middle of a visa application processing period? With an acceptance to a school in your hand, and all of a sudden, your visa application is cancelled? And what are they going to do to all the people sitting in the US currently on work visas waiting for the H1's etc that their jobs have applied for? Some people are already employed and on work permits, and then they're just waiting for their H1 to process - so in the middle of their job, they have to pick up and leave?? It's ridiculous.
This whole thing is ridiculous. There are H1 cycles coming up and I wonder if they're just going to categorically dc the applications with muslim names. There are current spouse/and fiance visas pending - are they just going to get suspended??
Urgh. And it's not going to impact just muslims, it will impact nonmuslims who hail from muslim countries too.
therorist pal, you think the wise trump will just simply ask you if you muslimz? he will make you eat no less than three selections from a cold cuts platter, and draw cartoons before you get handed an I-94 and are allowed to walk in through the mexican wall.

That's why they say Trump is all talk. He doesn't think his plans through at all. I know we have nothing to worry about really. I just want to know if a Muslim holocaust were to happen (Khuda nakhwasta) then how many of us would lie to save our skin.
First of all lets understand it what is already written on the wall: Trump is just one of the several bigots running from GOP platform. The only difference is that he doesnt care much and says while all other keep it to their secret meetings with the evangelists. Every single republican candidate is capable of making the lives of american muslims a hell if they are given a chance.
Trust me GW Jhaarri (bush) seems angel as compared to these bigots.
So basically this scenario is very much possible be either of the conservatives. However, they wont ask. They already know
Still think most of the people wont lie.
Heck i know wut to do. I’ll simply crash in any of our canadian’s guppies home. Now all i’ve to find is the respectable person whom I can disguise as otherwise nobody is gona let me in.
I'm not American ... but if I were and was going back to the US ... I would not deny being a Muslim. It's the most important thing for me and fundamental to my freedom is how I identify myself. I could lie about it - but it would only be the case when absolutely necessary.
It is not possible to enforce Trump's plans. He knows it too. The only ones who don't know it are the people. Such a law could not be passed in the US - you might as well re-write the Constitution. But there is a lot of ownership, business and international relations, summit meetings and diplomatic missions by Muslims in to all lands. To turn America into a sanctuary like Makkah - free from all who are Muslim will grind things to a halt. It is therefore intended to be a mere ploy.
My view is that the administration will dictate what will be done and the party leaders are just there to influence swing. If Trump wins most of his promises will not be met and people will forget anyway.
Such a law could not be passed in the US - y*ou might as well re-write the Constitution*.
This is not technically true. The Constitution directly protects U.S. citizens and a U.S. citizen cannot be barred from entering the U.S. so Trump can't do anything about that group.
When it comes to immigrants, on the other hand, this is a totally different story. The President has express authority to prevent a group of "aliens" from entering the U.S. if he thinks that group is a threat to the U.S. The KEY to Trump's proposal is that he is not proposing a permanent ban. His ban is temporary. We have done this previously with other groups in the U.S. and U.S. Supreme Court has upheld those decisions. Justice Scalia said a few weeks ago something to the effect of that during times of war, anything could happen (I'm paraphrasing of course).
The fact remains that the President has express authority to ban a group of immigrants from entering the U.S. if he believes that group is a threat to the U.S. President does not need permission from Congress to do this. IF a ban is imposed, there is no guarantee that the U.S. Supreme Court will strike it down.....especially if there are security issues (heck all we need is 1 or 2 more CA-like incidents where the killers are Muslims). There is nothing in U.S. history that can be compared to this as far as the Court is concerned.
Of course, other reasons (economic, political etc.) would play into this but I'm just saying legally, it's not as easy to say that Trump's idea is unconstitutional.
Khuda nakhwasta??? Shouldn’t it be flying-spaghetti-monster nakhwasta?
As to your question…of course an overwhelming majority will be denying their muslimness just to get to the USA and will use plethora of excuses to justify the halalness of their actions. This one might be filed under *mukrooh but not mumnooh *category of sins.
