Does that mean people who don't follow a religion are more into these things compared to the one who follow religion?
I would like to say yes.
You tell me, if it was not for religion, what argument would you have against drinking alcohol? And by that I mean an argument that is also not the same that we can apply on regular coke or pepsi (addiction and health reasons)

But medical reasons (health problems) are sufficient for many people who don't follow religion not to indulge in activities like drinking, extra marital affairs, etc.
Further, there is a natural instinct in people which can keep people away from the bad things irrespective of their association with any religion / or not following any religion.

Medical reasons are not enough as Medical reasons require scientific base, and what is ok today, could turn out to be unhealthy, tomorrow. Which means that tomorrow if they can synthesize alcohol that is not bad for liver, or prove that drinking wine is good for heart, we would have no reason to stop anyone from drinking.
For your second comment, "bad things" is a very subjective term. What is bad for you, could be good for me. Religion provides us with standards that are same for everyone in any circumstances.
Agree but there is something in human nature which indicate us what is wrong and what is right. To support this point, I remember a Hadees which convey the message, 'If you find something confusing search it in Quran, Hadees and if you don't find solution ask your heart'.
If I would ask to any person from any belief what is your religion teachs, probably the answer would be 'Love and Peace'. The humbleness comes into our morals with religion and without religion the world would be a place like a Forest where there in no law.

Disagree. Majority of the laws in the world are not religious in nature. The first code of law given in the history was given by Hammurabi in 1772 BC, way before evolution of Abrahamic religions. The person who gave this code was a king not a Prophet.

but the heart of an atheist is so different than of a religious person. This hadess is probably talking to momins only, not to all the humans.

I agree with Muqawee here. Current atheist countries have lowest crime rate in the world. To them, its nothing but peace and love without any religion.
it is incorrect to relate crime rate is such a manner because many other issues are involved economic development stability etc. etc

Examples are many philanthropist organizations in the world. Example is natural love of parents for their children, which is not based on any religious obligation. A mother be her religious or non-religious love her children and no one can say that religious mothers are better than non-religious mothers. Its an example where basic human nature surpasses any religion.

When we say religion makes us better human being then I found it relevant to compare a religious mother and non-religious mother. You identify a field and you will get examples :)

Muqawee,
When a kid do wrong-thing to other than why others say that "ke tumhary parents ne tum ko yehi sikha hy". ?
