World Cup - Group G

The teams:

France
Switzerland
Togo
South Korea

judging from their recent form, France will have a tough time progressing from this group. Players like Thuram, Makalele, Zidane will be playing their last tournament. Expect South Korea and Swtzerland to give them a run for their money.

I think, France will top the group, though not convincingly. South Korea will have a difficult time on European soil (no home advantage; although a dutch coach no Hiddink). So Switzerland should progress.
togo: don’t know much about them apart from that they won only 1-0 from Luxembourg recently (luxembourg is team from which you should win at least 4-0)

Re: World Cup - Group G

Switzerland has lost only one game (4-2 Turkey) since they were defeated by France in Euro 2004. With Zidane leading the way for France one last time, they should be considered the favorites with Korea and Switzerland fighting for 2nd place. Togo could also surprise after having qualified ahead of Senegal who beat France in the opening match of the 2002 World Cup. Tradionally, Korea has never played good in European conditions. Home crowd is huge for them.

Re: World Cup - Group G

Korea playing under former dutch coach Advocaat appear to have lost directions. They are losing and drawing friendlies and with an unsettled team everytime.

I think France will easily top the group and match b/w swiss and koreans to decide the second place.

Re: World Cup - Group G

I would be surprised is its not france and switzerland coming out of this group.

Re: World Cup - Group G

Djibril Cisse broke his leg ... yet again... in a friendly match against lowly China.

Thas sad. He broke his leg third time.

Re: World Cup - Group G

^ Simon Jones ka bhai to nahi hay? :konfused:

Swiss and Korea :halo:

Re: World Cup - Group G

Togo's manager has resigned. Nice start to their world cup campaign. Dispute was apparently on salary.

Re: World Cup - Group G

hi guys ..
cissé is remplaced by sidney Govou....
Another important thing, Franck Ribery will be the futur French Foot ball star...he s so brilliant ! to be continued....

Re: World Cup - Group G

Togo just put one in...and it was a beauty. Togo lead 1/0 to S. Korea.

Re: World Cup - Group G

S. Korea scored and the score level 1/1. Togo playing with 10 players.

Re: World Cup - Group G

Good comeback victory for South Korea. I thought the togo goalie should've saved that free kick from which korea scored their first goal.

Re: World Cup - Group G

^ That was a good goal from the Koreans...I think the goalie was unable to see the ball and when he did it was too late.

Re: World Cup - Group G

I did not expect Korea to come back and win it but they did. Well done to them.

Re: World Cup - Group G

arent french white :konfused:

Re: World Cup - Group G

France v Swis about to start.

Re: World Cup - Group G

They’re blue, Swiss are in white.

Re: World Cup - Group G

Allez Les Bleus!

Re: World Cup - Group G

whats the logic behind 4-5-1 formation. leaving henry alone at the front isn't going to do anything. henry is a great striker, but he still needs support. u need at least one more striker up there with henry.

Re: World Cup - Group G

France isn't really playing good.

Re: World Cup - Group G

but swiss still seem unable to break through to even close to the french last 25 percent. boring game in progress.

I have internet and a tv today :hula:
