He made a silly remark "We have beaten them four times now in WC".

While true, he should not have lowered himself to that sort of level, it was a sarcastic comment the way he said it. He did not conduct himself with dignity.

He conveniently forgot the overall ratio of 52:30 in favour of Pakistan.

i agreee he is meany :bailan:

haha, you mean little thing you. I love ya.

teaser bhai, I was planning to head over to our Indian brothers' places to console them in their hour of grief. Will you be interested to accompany me in this noble cause?

If yes, please add Spocky to the mix too. I very strongly feel that now is the time to build bridges when our Indian brothers are probably passed out drunk.

** Well played Australia, hatss off to them. Unbeatable worldcup campaign :eek: I myself thought that Australia will slip up at sometime but after close escapes against England and New Zealand and even against pakistan, thier confidence level was just toooo high since then.. :dhimpak:

India, well they learnt a few hard lesson today. Tendulkar is the best batsman in the world but he is still not a ‘finisher’ like Ponting or Steve Waugh. Hats off to him, he is a gem though. He is the reason India got to the final. Thier over rated bowling attack was exposed today throughly and people who said that thier bowling attack is better then Pakistan’s, you analyze today and you will see the difference that performing well on a consistent basis for years is another thing and in on etournament is another. But yes they played really well, rose from the compelte doldrums, the indians, and made to the finals. They were just not good enough. Ganguly is a true minnow-basher :D, hardly scored agasint good attacks. Mongia , i never stopped wondering why theystill persist with him. Reason i understood was that they wanted to lose the final, But yeah he is not the only reason:D. **

Congratulations to a throughly deserving Aussie Team :dhimpak::dhimpak: They made mistakes but they coverd thier mistakes so well :k:

Agreed. He must be eating his words now as he is wondering when they beat Aussies in a worldcup match last time around.

I know, eh. What's up with that.

I would love to know whatever happened to the Ashish "Wasim" Nehra and Zaheer "sledge I will" Khan. Guess last night must have been pretty hot and heavy for the Indians and thus today's performance. ;)

loll…:bhangra:

**sachin tendulkars head grew too big for his helmet after the Pakistan-bhaaarat match!

nice to see him getting his just desserts early!**
:mocking:
:bhangra:
:dhimpak:
:kaboom:
:hula:

I think Ganguly is wondering why the umpire is not asking him about the follow on...what a ruthless performance

hahahahahahahahahhahahahhahahhahaha

indians got what they deserved..tandukalr proved he`s nothin when it comes to the biggest game of his career.

for all those losers who travelled all the way from india .this is what i have to say...hahahahahhahahahahahhahahaha

Aussies showed to the Cricket World that they are the only deserved side to be called 'World Champions'

Where should I start from? India virtually lost the game when Ganguly decided to field after winnin' the toss. BIG MISTAKE! It was a bad call. Maybe, Ganguly thought moisture on pitch would help India gettin' early wickets as it rained in Johnnesburg on Friday night. Things didn't work out as Ganguly thought. Zaheer Khan, Srinath had trouble in line and length from the start. This might be the first time Indians have given 37 Extra Runs in ODI, which happens to be World Cup Final.

Start of the Aussies inning was fabulous. Right from the beginnin', Gilchrist(particularly) and Hayden smashed Indian bowlers all over the ground, givin' Australia a solid platform of 105 runs.

[thumb=B]_38996203_haydengilchrist300gt.JPG[/thumb]

India put Australia in to bat but Matthew Hayden and Adam Gilchrist make an opening partnership of 105 runs.

After the departured of Hayden and Gilchrist, Pointing and Martyn played fantastic shots all over the ground. Man, Pointing had his best ODI inning of his career. Magnificent Captain's inning of 140 N.O off 121 balls(8 sixes and 4 boundaries). He outclassed all Indian bowlers. Martyn played his best, scored 88 N.O off 84 balls despite of injured index finger.

[thumb=B]_38996637_pontingap245.JPG[/thumb]

Javagal Srinath shows his frustration as Australia captain Ricky Ponting and Damien Martyn pile on the runs for Australia.

[thumb=B]_38996585_pont245cengt.JPG[/thumb]

*Ponting hits eight sixes and his total of 140 not out is the highest score in a World Cup final *

[thumb=B]_38996605_martynap300.JPG[/thumb]

Martyn plays a series of fantastic shots, despite his broken finger, and hits an unbeaten innings of 88.

In conclusion, 359 was the huge total for India to chase; and again all eyes were on Sachin Tendulkar. This was the match when India needed him most and got out; playin' a poor shot. Btw, that was a nice come pay back from McGrath. Congratulations to Tendulkar for being a Player of the Tournament.

[thumb=B]_38997043_tengt.JPG[/thumb]

India's reply gets off to the worst possible start as Sachin Tendulkar is caught and bowled by Glenn McGrath for just four.

Frankly, I never thought Sehwag could resist the pressure. He did stick around; faced Bret Lee's nasty delieveries. It was a wonderful knock by him. But as he became the victim of Aussies superb fieldin', pendulum started to swing in Aussies way!

[thumb=B]_38997225_sehwag200ap.JPG[/thumb]

Virender Sehwag hits a solid innings of 82 before he is run out by Darren Lehmann to leave India on 147-4.

Rahul Dravid, on the other hand, tried to build the important partnership; and unfortunately got out on an inside-edge ball. Aussies did the rest and beat India by 125 runs.

[thumb=B]_38997389_dravidgt200.JPG[/thumb]

Andy Bichel bowls Rahul Dravid for 47- India lose their last five wickets for 47 finishing on 234 all out -125 runs behind.

A truly deserved team. Without Shane Warne, Jason Gillipse, Waugh Brothers, Aussies proved to the World that they got Never-Die Spirit in every ounce of their being!

Note: Australian Team have dedicated World Cup 2003 Trophy to Shane Warne.
