Is it time for Hiddink to eliminate Italy yet again? I’ll be honest and say that anything that has to do with Hiddink gives me the heeber-jeebers (I can’t believe I just typed that).
Expect plenty of goals in this match. Italy will be very opportunistic this match, and while the Aussies have enjoyed their trip in uncharted waters, their World Cup run might finish where it started. No offense to the Aussies, but talk about Italy being “handed” the semi-finals to them. I think they have the best draw out of everybody. If they beat Australia, they will face either Ukraine or the Swiss. I’d say Australia will be the toughest match for them before the semis.
if you thought the game between por-hol was bad, you havent seen anything yet. both aussies and italiens have a habit of commiting serious fouls. send in an idiot ref like the russian today, and we'r in for another world record of reds.
Don’t forget that they were EXTREMELY lucky to get that penalty, everyone is furious in Australia the way their campaign ended, it was highly controversial but they should be proud of themselves.
definitely a pathetic decision…what’s with these ref’s…almost all the deciding factors have been cause of ref calls instead of good ball play…especially the games played by Aussies. (both calls against Australia and for Australia have been awarded when they shouldn’t have)
