Lets say you are putting on a weight BUT on places where you wouldnt want i.e tummy - wat would you guys recommend to get the weight on right places?

I usually gain weight in the tummy and you know where, so in addition to a general workout (aerobics following a video), I do toning exercises for the particular areas of interest!

So you want to add on weight but not on the tummy?
You cannot 'spot' add or reduce weight.

sorry to say but you can't spot train/reduce. so....
eat a lot! but make sure whatever you eat is low in fat and healthy
and....
CARDIO CARDIO CARDIO.....I can't help but stress this over and over again.
also I read that eating certain foods help reduce belly fat (ie olives). I am not sure however if there is any truth to this....it's worth looking into.

I thought you could do certain exercises for certain muscles/part of your body to tone them. I guess I should just stick to crunches?

Do more crunches for your tummy...reverse crunch hurts the most:(..

yes...of course you can.
Abdominal exercises will surely strengthen your abdominal muscles but it wont get rid of belly fat that is covering those muscles. To lose the fat surrounding it you will need to start a cardiovascular and weight training regime. When you do this you will not only lose fat in the problem area(s) but in your entire body as well.
so yes....continue with the crunches but be sure to add more to your workout routine.

i know what u mean stomach is definitely the hardest place to lose weight from but yea do cardio and also i find that pilates helps a lot this is something i came across that i found really helps if u add it to ur daily cardio/aerobics routine i’ve been doing it for a couple of weeks and even though you can’t see that i’ve lost weight i generally feel like its working and i feel better in my clothes hope that helps
