Agreed every single man should be grateful to his wife, sister(s), daughter(s), and mother. Just like every woman should be grateful to her Husband, son(s), brother(s), father. But that is not what we were discussing here... Respect and care for your spouse is always the first priority, I never said it wasn't. Also I never implied that women's responsibilities lie in house chores.

ur missing the point completely..Islamically, women are not responsible for doing the chores or bringing in money but men r responsible for providing for the family

Ok, then enlighten me, what is wife role in the marriage assuming that they are not responsible for taking care of the house and/or bringing in money to support the family? Islam can't be unfair to husbands or is it?
All these women (no names :p) want to do is to flop on the couch and flip the remote control watching their favorite soaps and nothing else. Its men's job to earn the money, do all the housechores and bring up the kids. Thats the only scenario that would please some of these women (no names again :p) So its practically a waste of time to argue any middle road.

actually, the "nothing else" will consist of shopping .... at least for me. :p
Actually, reading this thread every married men is glad he is not. And every unmarried man should know what to look out for when filtering their choices.
I am assuming with ur "own" money :)

No ChaChoo, you are wrong again. Men are supposed to provide for money for wife to do the shopping. Isn't that the whole friggin deal here. Whatever we do, we are wrong. :-D
Aejaz: doesn't your wife earn money too? she does right? You said she works from home. So she earns money, takes care of the kids.. cooks on weekdays, cleans the house etc and still u think only cooking on weekends is enough help :p
And don't worry, my husband will not be the only one earning money, I am not one of those who squander their hubbies money.
Ofcourse.. yahan becharay guppie mard, they are doing their best, in some cases exagerrating their own contributions, to somehoe come up as a “kind, considerate husband” but Chandbeti is standing there with a danda in her hand, shaking her head :nono: “nah, you are still a piece of $hit”. Becharay!
Fobs will be fobs. They can't marry their mothers so they go and find a doormat for a wife who will make them feel like kings in their sad lives. tsk.tsk.tsk..
"nah, you are still a piece of $hit"<<<
did I say that? Maybe I implied it. :p
All I am telling Aejaz is that saluting women for their efforts is not enough. Men need to help their working wives, and cooking on sundays ain't helping. :p
No Chandbeti, its not helping. Yup. And saluting women is not enough too. I agree with you 100%. May you find the man of your dreams, so you can make his life a living heaven. Ameen.
I Admit, I am BAD, Main Dharti par Bhoj Houn, Main Nikamma Houn.
You happy now!!!
On a Serious note, the topic is not even about Money, and no thank God we neither need the extra money, nor do I compel her to work its her descision, because she thought her time at home after kids went to School was wasted.
You know it would really help if you first read the posts, and then pick up your Danda.
very funny faisal. And yes, when the wife works an outside job and she cooks and takes care of the house all week long then cooking on sundays alone is not enough. And saluting women while watching monday night football enjoy your chicken wings aint enough either. Am I making some kind of outrageous demands? You are making me feel like I am asking for too much when all I want is an equal distribution of every responsibility.
