I don't harbour resentment, unlike inferiority complex being harboured by you. Get real.

Re: BREAKING NEWS .... WOOLMER WAS MURDERED... Jamaica Police..(See Page 9)

I can't figure out why group members are taking pot shots at each other for a highly unfortunate incident which has affected the cricket world. Most of the cricket players in my opinion are puppets at the hands of powers which have been 'controlling' cricket in a well organised manner.

Re: BREAKING NEWS .... WOOLMER WAS MURDERED... Jamaica Police..(See Page 9)

Apparently DNA samples were also taken from Lara and the entire WI, Zimbabwe and Ireland teams but has the UK media even mentioned that. This selective reporting is what annoys me the most

Re: BREAKING NEWS .... WOOLMER WAS MURDERED... Jamaica Police..(See Page 9)

You are right....

Re: BREAKING NEWS .... WOOLMER WAS MURDERED... Jamaica Police..(See Page 9)

Media will always try to sensationalize things. However, it was the job of the Pakistan Management/gov. to highlight this and make sure the the reporting was fair. God knows how many press conferences PJ attended or called, he had the opportunity to do this.

If it was India instead of Paksitan in the same situation, you can bet your last rupee that the Indians would have done everything to defend their team until proven guilty, and make sure the reports coming out from Sky etc. were fair and balanced. God bless India.

Re: BREAKING NEWS .... WOOLMER WAS MURDERED... Jamaica Police..(See Page 9)

Its become almost innate to be numb to such media bias. Its sickening to say the least.
Was it Holding, who pointed out the GORA media bias last year quite astutely?

whats the latest news

Re: BREAKING NEWS … WOOLMER WAS MURDERED… Jamaica Police..(See Page 9)

Police in Jamaica investigating the murder of Pakistan cricket coach Bob Woolmer say no-one has been eliminated from their enquiry.

Full report: BBC.

This suggests that Pakistani players are not completely cleared.

i think they 'll close this file very soon…
** sorry lack of evidences**

Re: BREAKING NEWS .... WOOLMER WAS MURDERED... Jamaica Police..(See Page 9)

The net is closing in on the murderer(s). Soon the results of the DNA and CCTV would be available. The Police know more than they are disclosing. I was hoping that by now they would have arrested someone but I guess it cannot be too far off either.

**Losing Woolmer a nightmare - Younis **](http://www.supercricket.co.za/default.asp?id=209736&des=article&scat=supercricket/worldcup2007)

Posted on 26 March 2007 - 15:14

Pakistani vice-captain Younis Khan said on Monday he had lost a father figure in coach Bob Woolmer.

Younis said he had yet to recover from the shock of Woolmer’s murder at the cricket World Cup in Jamaica.
“I was the closest to him in the team and we discussed everything,” Younis told Reuters by telephone from Dubai.
“Being knocked out of the World Cup was a big disappointment but Bob’s death is like a nightmare,” Younis said in his first public reaction to the events in the Caribbean.
The 58-year-old Woolmer, who had coached Pakistan since 2004, was found unconscious in his hotel room in Kingston, Jamaica, on March 18 and pronounced dead later in hospital, a day after Pakistan lost to Ireland and went out of the Cup.
Jamaican police say he was murdered and are investigating.
**“Bob was good to me. He helped me realise my potential and improve my performances,” Younis said. **
**"We had talked about the future and he wanted me to come to work with him in his cricket academy project he had planned in Cape Town. **
**“We were very close. Losing him in the World Cup was something I never imagined happening,” Younis added. **
Younis, who is expected to take over as captain from Inzamam-ul-Haq who announced his retirement from one-day internationals and relinquished the captaincy, said the team had worked hard to try to do well in the World Cup.
**“Bob had high hopes from the team. We felt that once we reached the super eight stage we would improve. But in four days things happened so quickly we didn’t get time to recover.” **
Younis said he was very disappointed at letting down the Pakistani people. “I know everyone had so much expectation from us. But it is something that will live with us forever.” The other members of the Pakistan squad were scheduled to reach home from London on Wednesday, a Pakistan Cricket Board official said.

^ Well if the VC was so close to the coach and the Captain was not, then how was the atmosphere in the Pakistan camp? Makes a fan wonder.

Re: BREAKING NEWS .... WOOLMER WAS MURDERED... Jamaica Police..(See Page 9)

^ Yup it does but I suppose Bob being the gentle kind got on well with everyone. Actually having watched the game between Australia and South Africa I am convinced that Pakistan and India even if they had made it to the next round would have had little or no chance esp. against Australia. The intensity of that game was just unbelievable and I was really impressed by the discipline and focus shown by both sets of players for such an eagerly-awaited pressure game, something sub-continental players need to work on big time. So I am not hugely disappointed because I realise that we are just not good enough at the moment

Re: BREAKING NEWS .... WOOLMER WAS MURDERED... Jamaica Police..(See Page 9)

^ I agree 100%. The qualities required in todays cricket IMHO are:
1. Talent/Skill/Technique
2. Discipline/Mental focus
3. Strategy
4. Able to deal with pressure with resilience

Our teams right now don't have the mix right and hence don't deserve to be in the Super 8. What is the cricket high ups going to do about this? Is our nation going to realize this and become more realistic?
Questions that I don't want to answer right now.

Re: BREAKING NEWS .... WOOLMER WAS MURDERED... Jamaica Police..(See Page 9)

^ Agree with both the above 2 posts.

Even though South Africa lost I was impressed the way they came out fighting especially the openers and showed so much mental toughness.

Both Pakistan and India feel would be blown away especially by Australia had they met.

Re: BREAKING NEWS .... WOOLMER WAS MURDERED... Jamaica Police..(See Page 9)

They are watching Ireland-Pakistan match over again... to see if they can find any 'evidence' of match fixing.

Re: BREAKING NEWS .... WOOLMER WAS MURDERED... Jamaica Police..(See Page 9)

wow thats crazy, i thought those were just rumors, lets see...

and yeah completely agreed with the posts above...the aus-sa game was at such a higher level, it was amazing to watch, none of the teams come even close to that level, hopefully we will get a aus-sa final

sa got a 160 run opening partnership, knowing india we wouldnt have got 100 total
