Women's rights in Islam

Re: How do you feel when you dont agree with bits of islam?

And you think men don’t need a woman in life? Try being a single parent and doing it all by yourself without anyone’s help. Try living in a family with no father/mother around. If the only purpose of marriage was halal sex, Prophet saw wouldn’t have said it is “half our deen”. Why do you think marriage completes half our deen? Why did Allah say “they (women) are clothing for you and you (men) are clothing for them?” A husband and wife fulfil eact other’s needs! We depend on men and they depend on us, we both have different responsibilities, simple as that!

God was being cheeky when he gave us the so-called rights? lol. I guess he was also being cheeky when he gave us boobies and a womb, we might as well start complaining why we can’t walk around topless and men can, why we have to go through labour and men don’t! God gave us free will i.e. right to do whatever the hell we want unless we have submitted to His will in which case we will follow what He has prescribed and happily so Alhumdulillah.

Back in the day, the whole of Makkah laughed at the Prophet saw when he said women actually rights including inheritance rights. They hated him when he said do not bury alive female infants, do not favour raising boys over girls and that "whoever raises two daughters and treats them well will be with me in Paradise like this puts his two index fingers together " As per another hadith, we (the daughters in Islam) are shields for our parents against hell fire. And when I become a mother, paradise is going to be under my feet and I must be honoured three times more than the father. That, my dear, is good enough izzat for me.

Take a step back theorist and look at the bigger picture. If Islam meant oppression of women, EVERY SINGLE muslim woman all over the world would be oppressed! The oppression wouldn’t miraculously end in a practising muslim family in Ireland. Khair, you’re free to believe whatever. May Allah swt be with you.
