Unless we’re doubting whether they really WERE the practices of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH).

Some of my questions come str8 from the Quran like the testimony clause. I have to say, the only things that I really can’t understand are the testimony clause the polygamy clause in the Quran. Although I understand the polygamy clause as umair-ahmed here describes it, and also in a biological sense, but that is not how I hear most people arguing in defense of the polygamy clause. It upsets me to no extent when I hear maulvis say that its a “man’s right, because of his sexual appetite”. Whatever people. What happened to lowering your gaze and controlling your lust…

PCG, instead of wasting time arguing with fake “maulvis”, you should do research on your own. The article provided here clears alot of confusion about Polygamy in Islam.
Some people think that it is recommended, but it should only be done in certain circumstances.

That’s what I have done, and I already know everything in this article. But apparently, its not common knowledge among muslim men, and therefore, like an obedient and submissive muslim woman that I’m expected to be, I question myself and wonder if really all that these other maulvis are saying is really true?

^ yep and the only matter in which they seem to have a bit of freedom (numbe of wives) is put to scrutiny by non-muslims as well as moderate(!) muslims....

Well in male dominant societies men usually get more than their rights anyway, if anything their self-proclaimed rights should be reviewed and maybe cut back a bit.

Allah says in Quran a MAN can marry, "dow dow, teen teen ya char char" but requirement is that he do justice between ALL wives. There is no have the "right" or don't have the "right" or if others feel comfortable with multiple marriages.

I think the answer is obvious as to why it was allowed...yet not pointing out how rare it is makes one wonder why is this an issue?.

It is widely known that if husband wants to marry another women, he should always get the permission of his first wife or else it is regarded as infidelity.
