Women Only

I was just curious in knowing the guppans who observe hijaab? Kindly apprecated!

Re: Women Only

I dont observe hijab but i do cover my head in busy places.

Re: Women Only

I don't. I don't mind if other people do but it doesn't make you a better person in general, if one's doing it out of their own choice then it's good but loads of girls I have seen are under pressure from their families to wear it, which kills the purpose really as thier conduct in real life is different.

Re: Women Only

I agree with you MYwish. My question was only based on if the one's who do it is For Allah only.

Re: Women Only

No but i wear a chaddar in places like peshawar, abbottabad and busy bazaars

Re: Women Only

ok zaiboo, I don't. if I ever do it it wouldn't be to impress other mortals.

Re: Women Only

Mucho gracias, ladies...........keep the replyes coming

Re: Women Only

I look like I wear hijab, but I dont. Meaning, I wear a scarf but its not for religious reasons, though one day i'd like to wear it for those reasons. I know I am weird. afsoos

I was not asked by family to do so, I just wear it cause I like to. Though I havent always.

It's hard explaining this to people. You can imagine the strange looks I get when a girl tells me she likes my hijab and I tell her I dont wear hijab.

Re: Women Only

Munni: why would you wear a scarf??? for fashion purpose, maybe???

Re: Women Only

I live in America, its not a fashion here. That would be cool if it was. I wear it just because I like the feel of it and the way it looks. I also get less stares/less men approaching me. I think I look better without it, but thats not my concern.

Re: Women Only

Munni: well if you ar edoing all that why don't you do it to please our Creator???? I mean you are doing it for the all the right reasons except one.

Re: Women Only

Because I have not been consistent with it. I will wear a scarf for several years or months then stop then start then stop then start. Because I dont do it for religious reasons its not a big deal to me that I do this.

Some day I hope to do it for the right reason, but I will be kidding myself if I said I did it for Allah right now, because I know I am not. I have a long way to go to be a better muslim, this I know. Insha’Allah.

Re: Women Only

Munni: InshaAllah!

Re: Women Only

i wore it half thru university as thr was this whole turning practising craze going on........but then i went 2 paksitan whr i found it really diff 2 so i stopped but Inshallah i want 2 start wearing it properly 4 the sake of Allah only not bcoz its a trend....

but i feel i need to prioritise my namaz n things like that first

Re: Women Only

I don't but plan on it one day, InshaAllah!

Re: Women Only

i do wear it in pak, but not in the west....i tried it, but freedom and hijaab are not consistent where i live...hijaab is mostly for beggars in our place...sadly

Re: Women Only

i hear a lot of girls saying that…including myself. Sometimes i wonder does it matter what you do first? Shouldnt we do as many things as we can…whenever we can? Perhaps after wearing the hijab you may want to do more?

Re: Women Only

My situation is exactly like munni
I have never been out without a hijab, I am not doing it for Allah, deep down I know that I wont feel comfortable if I'll go out wihtout a hijab. I hardly pray, I feel it would be hypocritical if I say I wear it for Allah SWT. If I am not consistent with my prayers then what's the point of being a hijabee...

I wish I could be more consistent and less deceitful towards my deen. ameen

Re: Women Only

LLiving in States, I wear hijaab:)

p.s any questions glad to answer :)

Re: Women Only

I do observe hijab. I started right before highschool. Alhamdulilah it has been 11 years.
I wasn't forced. It was by choice.
