Re: women in nikaab…
Haha, hilarious! ![]()
Women in nikaab.....
Scare the hell outta me.
I will come wearing a nikaab in your dreams to scare you tonight :@:
If you wear a niqab in a western country you are a retard.
That doesnt mean you should be stopped from wearing it.
That is pretty much my opinion on this issue.
the same way if you wear a bikini where everyone covers up?
its a personal choice which i dont think makes anyone a retard.
Re: women in nikaab...
egarding what niqabi women do in Pakistan for ID pictures, well I don't know about nowadys, but still am sure the old rule still applies; you can get your thumb print done, and I haveeven seen woen's pictures wheile still wearing the niqab on their IDcards. I guess they probbaly have to get their pics taken if applying for a passport, but then all women living in Pakistan don't apply for a passport.
Re: women in nikaab...
Gaia, r u a hijabi who is against niqab ?
^Hmm not against! Who ever wants to do it, thats great, but I find the niqab part to be unnecessary but jilbab is great!
Re: women in nikaab...
So u think Niqaab is unnecessary.... but u didnt tell me if u r hijabi ?
and whats jilbab, was it just a typo ?
Re: women in nikaab...
Yes I am a hijabi, and yes I do think niqab is unnecessary, but who ever wants to wear it, go for it! Google "jilbab"!
Re: women in nikaab...
wow thanks, i didnt even know the word before ... I dunt see much difference in Jilbab and Hijab (lookin at google images).
can you tell the difference between two ?
Re: women in nikaab...
Hijab is just covering your head, and thats it, like I wear normal american clothes under. A jilbab is a long coat covering your entire body, it does not include the hijab.
I would just like to say is that, I would never go and live in USA etc. I am too scared after watching NY and Khuda Ke Liye. I love it here in Dubai where wearing the abaya is very normal. No one makes fun of me, no one calls me a terrorist, no one stops me from praying in a mosque, no one cares if my dad's name has Mohammad in it.
I know I could be a bit too paranoid, but this is life and muslims do have it a bit tough in the West. I would not mind going to the UK because that is not like USA. Plus I do not wear a Nikaab. Abhi takk Allah ne taufeeq nahi di, however I think what I already do is enough.
Well no one I know has been prevented from praying in a mosque, and I know ladies who wear abaya and have never really been made fun of. Now when you go to the extreme of a niqaab, yes people will stare you down cuz you stick out like a sore thumb. They look, but havent heard of anyone really making any comments in general. If I saw a gori say with hot pink hooker boots or something way out there, I would catch myself staring too. People have a tendency to be curious about what they have not seen.
How is UK different than the US? Have you lived in both?
Re: women in nikaab...
Gaia :
thanks .... Okay its good to know the difference btw two.
Am a big fan of Hijab and Jilbab looks nice too. However covering ur face was little extreme to me and i thought i was being evil, thinkin that way.
Now hearing almost the same from a hijabi makes me feel better :D
Re: women in nikaab…
wow I just realized your a larka ![]()
But yes women should cover themselves fully with both a hijab and a jilbab, but I do not see the point of a niqab. I still have not gotten to the point of a jilbab, since I have a hard time ditching all my pretty pretty clothes:wub:. But inshAllah one day I will.
Re: women in nikaab...
hmmm.... r u givin me hints to ask u for a pic :p
Re: women in nikaab...
one of my hubby's cousin wore nikaab for a while and even her own children were like "why you gotta dress like a ninga"
I agree with Afro - people are just curious.
Remember Michael Jackson and his nikkab like covering - everyone was wondering what he was trying to cocnceal.
Re: women in nikaab…

Re: women in nikaab...
