Re: Women in Hijjab in Pakistan
who taught you how to pray?
Re: Women in Hijjab in Pakistan
The how is irrelevant for this discourse its the concentration one puts forth:) . Ceremony is not the message.
Most importantly, Allah is all around you no need for direction.

Here I take guidance from Allah:swt: Himself… May He:swt: fogive me if I commit any mistake for I am but a human being and a sinful slave of my Lord… He, Allah:swt:, says in Quran - a book that has no doubt in it…

142. The fools among the people will say: “What hath turned them from the Qibla to which they were used?” Say: To Allah belong both east and West: He guideth whom He will to a Way that is straight.
143. Thus, have We made of you an Ummat justly balanced, that ye might be witnesses over the nations, and the Messenger a witness over yourselves; **and We appointed the Qibla to which thou wast used, only to test those who followed the Messenger from those who would turn on their heels (From the Faith). **Indeed it was (A change) momentous, except to those guided by Allah. And never would Allah Make your faith of no effect. For Allah is to all people Most surely full of kindness, Most Merciful.
144. We see the turning of thy face (for guidance to the heavens): now Shall We turn thee to a Qibla that shall please thee. Turn then Thy face in the direction of the sacred Mosque: Wherever ye are, turn your faces in that direction. The people of the Book know well that that is the truth from their Lord. Nor is Allah unmindful of what they do.
Re: Women in Hijjab in Pakistan
^
That was from Surah AL Baqarah.
Re: Women in Hijjab in Pakistan
thank you but it does not give any answer regarding how to “turn” to qibla on a round earth:halo:
when you are in america and mecca is in the direction of the ground do you pray feet up and head down? ![]()
no, you turn in direction of some oceans…hoping it is mecca directions, this proves that intentions of the heart are far more important than physical realisations
Re: Women in Hijjab in Pakistan
do black african count? cause Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Sudan and Somalia have a big bunch of them, they practice “ethnic cleansing”, ie killing non muslims men and raping non muslim women to conquer their teritory…and they are not the most spoken about on tv:clown:
Re: Women in Hijjab in Pakistan
dont remember which thread, but sum1s already answered that. i dont know about it…i’ll be sure to quote them.
btw, its not on tv, how do you know? :halo:
lol, for being a muslim, u sure do hate islam.
Re: Women in Hijjab in Pakistan
no, I turn my direction to Qiblah as scientifically as it is said… Earth is a sphere and it has four directions, North[up], South[down], East[right], West… I draw straight lines on the sphere towards Makkah and I take the shortest distance as my Qiblah… North East… you can not just turn anywhere you want when knowing the direction and pray.. You start it wrong, do not expect it to be accepted as well…
PS: the correct spelling is Makkah
Re: Women in Hijjab in Pakistan
when i criticise muslim criminals you thikn i hate islam:grumpy:
it’s utterly false!!!
i love islam religion of peace and i hate those who make wars in its name, because they give a bad name to a beautifull religion
and you supporting those criminals is disgusting to say the least!
ps, just like you know tv is biased
Re: Women in Hijjab in Pakistan
PS: the correct spelling is Makkah
no, a round line on a shere is longer than any straight line within that sphere
ps, a line on a sphere is not straight but spheric, the straight lines are within the sphere...
Re: Women in Hijjab in Pakistan
and ka’ba is within the sphere.. It’s not outside of sphere… Last time I checked, Makkah was on this earth, In fact, right in the center. ![]()
Re: Women in Hijjab in Pakistan
sarcasm is the only resort when one has no more serious argument, it’s late in USA go to sleep, you’ll find me a better answer AQ, i’m sure you can:blush: good night
Re: Women in Hijjab in Pakistan
serious argument…??? your answer just had me thinking the judgement day is surely near… Muslims have started questioning the command of Allah:swt: Himself…
Really… I am sure you will find evidence of my reasoning in Islam for you are a sincere soul… nonetheless I may not have enough knowledge but enough to follow command where they apply ![]()
Re: Women in Hijjab in Pakistan
To Urbellas and parisenoor:
It seems you both are ismailis.....
Allah is not everywhere........Allah's Knowledge is everywhere.
Where does it say in the Quran that Allah is everywhere.
Urbellas I want to know more about Ismailis.....can you give names of some books.
So far I've realized that Ismailis Dont believe In Qura'an,Hadith,Salaat,....
Re: Women in Hijjab in Pakistan
We turn to Ka'bah for Salaat ...it does'nt mean that we believe Allah lives in Kabah{Audhubillah].....It's only a direction appointed by Allah...
Allah hears all the worship no matter how we choose to worship Him bur it is not about how we choose it is about how Allah has instricted us to worship.Only when a person obeys divine instructions can they be called a muslim.(submitters to Allah's will only).
Allah sent the Prophet Muhammad(saw) as the example for us to follow if we choose a path different to one Prophet(saw) took then we'd be astray.
Re: Women in Hijjab in Pakistan
The ayaat I quoted above have a background too…
Muslims were facing Jerusalem before [North
surprise surprise
they were not praying upside down:smilestar:] and then Qiblah was changed to Ka’abah… err… are we following it now???
why so much for changing directions and revelations coming down for that??? I dunno… I thought it’s in heart and direction does not mean anything at all.. guess what??? direction is one of the pre-requisite… mixing up heart and intentions with the command is like comparing apples with oranges.
Re: Women in Hijjab in Pakistan
i don’t even know who are ismaili:halo:
direction=north, east, west, south as indicated by a boussole
not shortest distance to Qiblah!
this only this last part of your explanation who made me tick…
all physical location are relative to the observation referential you choose, and i was curious to know what islamic scholars says about the geographical details instructing people living around the globe to follow…
don’t confuse questioning religion basis and its interpretation, these are extremely different things
i never talked about changing directions! again twisting my words…i was questioning the scientific basis your point…nothing more
Re: Women in Hijjab in Pakistan
 are these guys serious about using a plane representation of the earth to drw directions
