I was reading one thread where a girl is living in Lahore alone--and a poster called her ignorant and her father irresponsible for letting her go to another country by herself. (loved her reply btw)
Is it still considered "bad" in our society for a woman to go abroad for work or studies or just vacation (alone or with friends)? To live alone? Do people still consider her an awara woman? (dont wanan use the S-word)?
Are there any women here who have done that, studied, worked, or just vacationed, abroad? I'd love to hear experiences.....
I came to USA alone for my studies. Did fine, didn't get into any crap as people suspect. You'd be surprised what khichRi goes on in some homes back in the country where girls sneak out and get into messy situations behind their parents back.
It's all in your personal ethics, how you are raised and your belief and value system.
