Look at it from this point of view… you just don’t know what kind of people would she be interacting with and how responsible the relative is. I even know a girl who was sexually abused by her own cousin (thats not way related to this thread, but such people do exist) and thus, as a parent your children (both boys and girls), are most safe and protected with you. As a parent myself, I would everything I can to ensure my child’s safety (at any age)… good educational opportunities are everywhere, take advantage of those nearest you.
