Considering that Islam tells women not to leave their houses unless accompanied by mehrams, does that make it haraam for a woman to drive on her own? Have the Saudis got it right? Well I’d say they have, it’s like killing two birds with one stone, you’re shariah compliant AND you have a lot less dangerous drivers on the road.

If worry is less dangerous drivers then everyone should be banned to drive a car. That will ensure ZERO dangerous drivers on the road AND Saudis and their chahne-wale will be following the sunnah of prophet and his salaf by riding camels instead.

easy solution to the complex ever occuring problem.

make halal , na-mehram proof cars. have the doors open and close from outside. so that way when woman lives house she would be locked in by a mehram person and whoever receives her would receive a code to unlock the door from outside. so you could be sure that she wont involve with a na-mehram person.
