Considering that Islam tells women not to leave their houses unless accompanied by mehrams, does that make it haraam for a woman to drive on her own? Have the Saudis got it right? Well I’d say they have, it’s like killing two birds with one stone, you’re shariah compliant AND you have a lot less dangerous drivers on the road.

Yes, it is the haraamest of all harams. Taubah Astaghfirullah kay ek aurat relieves her husband of grocery shopping, picking/dropping kids to schools, appointments, masjid, swim lessons, or be able to pick him up from the airport instead of spending $100 on a taxi or begging his friend for a ride at 5 am in the morning, let alone go to work and all [woh toh bohot duur ki baat haim qiyamat aa jaye gi]. :rolleyes:. So yeah, it’s haraam.
