Re: Women driving, is it halal?
I know what you mean, but at the end of the day the law says you can’t go out without a mehram. What do we do about that?

Re: Women driving, is it halal?
Depends how literally vs figuratively you read the Quran.

but hey i can sit with that pathan/saudi driver or well at the end of the day i need a driver to go anywhere. be it my praa or my neighbor or that unkil that looks shareef.
Re: Women driving, is it halal?
Saudis got the law wrong. Saudis are not the authority on Shariat, in fact they are stupid when it comes to defining Islam. Ayesha (RA) rode back to Madinah, not only alone but actually in the company of a Na-mehram, and Quran swore upon her sharafat. Find me a hadees which says, even after that incident, that woman riding a camel (driving a car) alone is haram.
Re: Women driving, is it halal?
Driving itself is shirk.
Re: Women driving, is it halal?
Yo aside from joke..how come women not driving is compliant with sharia?. As Tlk bro said..Saudis are total jacks.

Re: Women driving, is it halal?
lets get this straight
Generally, it is impermissible for a woman to travel the distance of three days (equivalent to 48 miles) without her husband or a Mahram (unmarriageable kin) accompanying her.
There are many clear narrations of the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) in this regard.
1) Sayyiduna Abu Said al-Khudri (mayAllah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him & give him peace) said: Let no woman travel for more than three days unless her husband or a Mahram is with her. (Sahih Muslim).
2) Sayyiduna Abd Allah ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: A woman must not travel for three days except with a Mahram. (Sahih al-Bukhari, no. 1036 & Sahih Muslim).
3) Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: It is unlawful for a woman who believes in Allah and the last day that she travels the distance of one day and one night without a Mahram accompanying her. (Sahih al-Bukhari, no. 1038).
4) Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: 'A woman must not travel except with a Mahram and a man must not enter upon her except if she has a Mahram. (Sahih al-Bukhari, no. 1763).

Re: Women driving, is it halal?
OP has nothing better to do than asking questions in particular direction for particular reason. ;)
Not the first time dude/dudette!
Re: Women driving, is it halal?
TLK can you check if this is correct:
Your Question: how did bibi aisha participate in war.
After the death of Prophet Mohamed (saws), many amongst his noble and chaste wives performed the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages, and considering their special status bestowed upon them by Allah Subhanah as the ‘mother of the believers, special arrangements were made for these ladies by the Islamic State for their honor and protection.
If the war you referring to is the ‘Battle of Jamal’, then one should know that Hadrat Aisha (r.a.) was on her Hajj pilgrimage to Makkah when the news of the murder of the Khalifah of the times, Hadrat Uthman (r.a.) was relayed to her and the believers. Such was the state of the believers at the time, that the way the news was related aroused emotions and anger and based upon a severe misunderstanding at the happening of events which led to the murder, the believers under the command of Hadrat Aisha (r.a.) declared war against the believers of Madinah with Hadrat Ali (r.a.).
Once the emotions were cooled and the misunderstanding regarding the position of Hadrat Ali (r.a.) and the believers of Madinah was clarified, Hadrat Aisha (r.a.) realized and accepted her mistake, and the battle was brought to an end immediately.
During the Hajj journey itself, Hadrat Aisha (r.a.) was accompanied by her nephew Hadrat Abdullah ibn Zubayr (r.a.) who was her mehram; and after the truce with Hadrat Ali (r.a.), Hadrat Ali (r.a.) sent Hadrat Mohamed bin Abu-Baqr (r.a.) who was her brother, to escort her back to her home in Madinah with full dignity and honor.
The journey Hadrat Aisha (r.a.) made with the non-mehram companions was in a state of emergency! Even today, when a woman is lost in a distant place, the Shariah law of traveling with a mehram would not apply if she sought help to find her way back to her home or city. Besides, Allah Subhanah Himself revealed the Verses in His Glorious Quran which absolutely absolved Hadrat Aisha (r.a.) of any error and wrongdoing during this incident; but it is indeed unfortunate that some believer after 1400 years, still try to hold Hadrat Aisha (r.a.) accountable for her role in the incident!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 24 Surah Noor verses 11-19:
11 Those who brought forward the lie (regarding the incident of Hadrat Aisha (r.a.) during the journey) are a body among yourselves: think it not to be an evil to you: on the contrary it is good for you: to every man among them (will come the punishment) of the sin that he earned, and to him who took on himself the lead among them will be a Penalty Grievous.
Re: Women driving, is it halal?
"Generally, it is impermissible for a woman to travel the distance of three days (equivalent to 48 miles) without her husband or a Mahram (unmarriageable kin) accompanying her."
My records indicate the correct distance is 47.9 miles.
