although it appears to be a universal trend, in pakistani society its even more pronounced.
when women want to have a casual affair, their standards for mens looks and charm are very high, so much so that a woman will only consider a casual affair with a man who is really attractive and charming. the vast majority of men simply wont meet her standards for what constitutes a man that can elicit that kind of a relationship with her.
however when settling down, their standards become more equitable, more comparable, sustainable i say.

not necessarily referring to a married womans standards. married or single, when a woman wants a casual affair, her standards for mens looks are very high. higher than what she can expect to get when she is settling down.

Because for a casual affair you're just looking for nothing more than eye candy, someone to have fun with. Things like family background, income, field, etc wouldn't matter.
When you're looking to get married, other priorities come ahead of looks.

Okay is the OP asking about married women having affairs or any affairs? b/c I know in Pakistan, any kind of dating, whether married or not, is called an affair.

but back to the real topic I can only tell u from my point of view that its normal to date and have fun with someone u think are a hunk when u dont want to commit either u are a man or a women....but when its comes to marriages and finding ur mate than looks arent as important since looks fades away and its only natural that a women wants more than just good looks in her husband afterall she has to live with him for the rest of her life hopefully
