Re: Women and Islam
Aisha it is a rhetorical question and off course would get rhetorical answers. What rights do you want?

Re: Women and Islam
And then we have women who try to over step those rights. :halo:
Re: Women and Islam
i think she wants right to choose who she wants to marry.

What are your views? Please kindly do share.
Re: Women and Islam
my views are that inspite of calling ourselves a muslim some of us really dont understand women. even now people in india and pakistan do various uspeakable things to women inspite of being muslim, but why is this is it because of lack of education hmm not really i have seen and heard about people who were highly educated but doing very bad things.
Re: Women and Islam
Are you then questioning Muslims or Islam?
Re: Women and Islam
no i am not its not about islam its about the mentality of some of the people there...
and
Re: Women and Islam
Well you asked whether Islam gives enough rights and privileges to women. You then said it's not about Islam.
I'm sort of lost. What people are you referring to and who is it that you're really questioning?
Re: Women and Islam
Before the arrival of our beloved Muhammad (SAW) Women were traded like normal objects and were treated close to nothing, and women were treated so bad that a tribe leader would have so many wives and when ever he wished he would give away his wifew and take someone elses (bit like in the western society as they call it Wife swap) and had no say in anything about anything, and when the prophet saw arrived to to this world he rid all of that and gave womens so many rights that even such he announced to Hazrat Faatima (RA) (Daughter of the prophet) that she will be the leader of women in Jannah,
and another example of how important women are that daughters were burried alive because having daughters was thought as bad, and ended up burrying daughters alive. and the prophet also rid this.
just look at what is done to those women in india or it was done, when her husband passed away she had to lie beside him alive and be burnt alive with her deceased husband, they are known as shoodars as low class. but this was and is not allowed in islam.
these are just a few examples i can give, but to even ask such a question whether islam gives womens rights, is un appropriate because there are sooo many rights that islam gives and even to question that blessing is being ungrateful.
like i always say 'a woman is like a dimond and so protect it with your life'. how is that done is that islam gave soo many rights, importance and value to a woman. and you only protect something which is important and valuable.

Divorced Muslim Ladies in Morrocco, a country that follows Imam Humbal (RE)
are not thrown out of the homes they live in, like the Quran specifies do not throw them out of their homes.
**That is a very basic human right that all other Mazhabz in Islam sad to say completely Ignore....:( **
Re: Women and Islam
Why ladies always complaining about their right why don’t they talk about their liabilities & obligations :).
Re: Women and Islam
So you don’t want to do Hijab?
Re: Women and Islam
They could be educated, they may have Phd’s or what not BUT education here means Islamic education. Islam - way of life. If they don’t know how Islam teaches us to live our lives, they will do all these sort of idiotic stuff.
Today when I went for a Friday prayer during the sermon the Imam said a beautiful thing.
He said a true Muslim is not in a Mosque but in a Market place. Don’t take me wrong but what he really meant was that when you are inside a Mosque ofcourse you will do good but while in a Market place thats where you will be really tested because you some what do not have the fear of Allah :swt:. So keep this dunyaN in your hand and don’t let it over come your HEART.
Re: Women and Islam
Bulbuli, in some situations that may be true, but in many its not. Like some others have said, if a female tries to do something about her abuse, she can get killed. If you were in the same situation, its easier said than done to assert your rights.
Re: Women and Islam
Have muslims themselves given rights to women? Not always.
^ its important to make that clear.
Re: Women and Islam
unfortunately it's culture that takes presedence over Islam in many countries.
Re: Women and Islam
what do u think? you wear hijab…why would you even need to question that?
Re: Women and Islam
damn right :k:
Koi obligation hogi tu bolaingi na ! They have gross total of ZERO finanacial obligation towards their family including themselves, they are not even required to support themselves financially, No matter how much ridiculous it may sound in todays age but thats true, yet they are looking for rights
![]()
Islam has given too many rights to women, They just can’t stomach it.
Islam has an ingrain system of exploitation of men.
There should be some reforms in islams, like some assignment of duties to women.
Like why there is share for them from inheritance of so many relatives ??? They are not supposed to support a family ! hell they are not required to support them selves… First it is father then husband and then son.
then what is the logic of giving them share when they are not required to support anyone, not even themselves ?
