islam has indeed given many liberties for us women. right to inheritance, rights of a widow etc. before islam came female infanticide was practiced disturbingly and although its still there in some parts of the world today because of islam it has been almost abolished. it was stopped by the prophet himself, do not give preference to your sons and treat both genders equally.

Well right to inheritance in people hailing from villages of India, inclusive muslims who have no knowledge of Quran hardly know regarding inheritance in Islam and still feel all the property should go to the son.

Islam provides us with many rights, but it’s just us who don’t know a thing about them. Read the Quran and the Hadith, and you’ll find several places where Allah (SWT) and our Prophet (pbuh) mention the rights of women in Islam.

Ask women who practice the religion by their own volition. They were not forced into it. Specially the ones living in non-muslim environment. They will tell you how Islam gives them rights.
The better question is do muslims allow women the rights that Islam has give them?

I heard that same question was asked by Prophet Muhammad once and He (pbuh) didn't reply until that woman asked for the third time.

its not bec, they can't do anything abt it, e.g. wht do u think would happen if a woman wants her right in Pakistan, she is likey to be killed. so if one trys and others wouldn't. and they are scread to get their rights.
