Women and Islam

Re: Women and Islam

Salam soulkurri,
you are not the property of your husband..he has certain rights over you, but that also means he has a lot of responsibility to you. Reading the male quotes are quite indicative of the arrogance and lack of thought that men attach when they deal with women. Allah S.W.A. makes things very clear men have rights over women and Women have RIGHTS over men. Men and women are equal. Each earns paradise according to his or her deeds. I heard one muslim brother in Pakistan tell my husband...you are lucky you have a blessed wife who practices (Inshallah...but Allah knows best not we mere mortals!)...because of her it doesn't matter what you do, you are GUARANTEED Jannah! Yet even our beloved Prophet practiced Islam and was fearful of the hellfire...that should be a very strong caution to all men in itself.

quote "why should women inherit?"
Answer- because Allah has enjoined this and Allah knows best.

We are warned not to ask too many questions...and this is why...when (as is clearly happening) men QUESTION the WISDOM of ALLAH S.W.A he will end up asking "who created our Creator?"

Allah did not enjoin 'too many rights for women', men deny too many womens rights
