according to the times, There is a serious corruption problem within the legal system is austria.... which could explain why a man can claim children are being dropped at his doorstep without and scrutiny, on top of that he served a sentence for rape in the 60s and yet he was made the legal guardian of these kids. Also austrian society appear to lack social cohesion, ppl tend to think "Out of sight out of mind". I think they have some sort of sicko child abuse thing going on prob goes all the way the top.
As far as the no one knowing about the family in the basement....
the house had 3 or 4 floors, the first 2 were occupied by the rapist wife and three kids... the middle was rented out to tenents... and the front of the basement was used for storage a storage shelf hid the entrance to the dungen, which was partly sound proofed.... which could explain why no one heard screaming kids.... the father told the three kids and his daughter in the basement if something ever happend to him then they would all die in the basement.
What i find very confusing s why this man told the police.... yes apparently one of the girls was sick in hospital but it still is a mystery.... whatever it is I HOPE THEY CHOP HIM IN TO A MILLION PEICES AND FEED HIM TO DOGS!!!

Its disturbing enough that a human could do this to another human, but he was her father, not step, but real father, its just sick, no words can describe how henious act this was.
The mother must have know something, i mean he use dto provide food, etc for them, did she never questio why he went down to the cellar all the time, she cnt have given birth to 7 children on her own, its not possible, somany diescrpancies,

I've been following this story. One thing that they didn't mention but I believe is true is that he couldn't have done it alone. I read he had installed a security door that had code numbers to open it. Those doors are heavy. Although he was an electrical engineer, there is no way he could've installed that heavy door without anybody's help.

I've only heard of one very similar case like this before. The culprit however, not only sired his own offspring, but also one and two generations down. Yep he had sex with his daughter and then his daughters' daughter having more children.
....But he was a rabbit and his 'wife' I think was helpless or oblivious to it.
When humans start to think like rabbits I think there are ethical, psychological and possibly end of times signs in this for us.

We try our hardest to make sense of such things. To me either the victims mother was complicit in this or the victim herself was accepting of this situation 24 years having her rapists' children does not make sense. However, if she had unethical feelings for her own father only then can it begin to make sense like with those bunny rabbits I once knew ... Only then can she give her children to her father to raise without raising a fuss. Only then can she have her children in private without being heard. The question to ask is 'was she really a victim or a part of the problem?' Was it their plan that if ever they were caught the father would take the blame?
If the man could rape his own daughter then what will stop him from raping his grand-daughters too? Unless he raises his dauhgters children 'as his own' which in fact they are ... does it begin to make some sort of ugly sense.

so the news says that he cud get sentence for holding the daughter locked up against her will, for rape, for manslaughter and and and ............ but no punishment for incest....

^ bc incest isn't considered a crime...rather a personal choice between consenting adults.
There was antoher story linked to this, where a father and daughter WILLINGLY engaged in a relationship and ahd a child and they were not ashamed of it. and a good chunk of comments were defending their sexual relationship.
Was just watching TMZ and there's pictures of Hulk Hogan, his daughter and girlfriend on the beach...and he's putting oil on her body. i won't get more explicit..
and then theres the brouhaha over hanna montana and her daddy in vanity fair's pictures.

The articles have stated that she was locked up at age 19. She was locked up and had no way out. How the heck can you say she was willing partner>
