but again i have to disagree with u…as u r still reinforcing ur own rules upon the guy,
if he thinks he shud keep a **beard **and this will get him closer to his religion and wat he believes in then we shud not have any objections to it, as he is tryina be a good muslim a good person . im sure if he knew wat ur aim is he wudn’t stop u either, coz tht is getting in the way of someones ‘ibadat’ [worship] thts his way of expressing himself to being a muslim and a person tht follows the path of the Prophet[pbuh] so he shud be free to do so.
uff..i think this is where the confusion began…beard&religion…
how can a beard bring someone closer to religion…I thought the fear of Allah Ta’ala and the desire to satisfy HIM…brought you closer to him…how can keeping a beard make you a good muslim…i am still wondering…
and we shud accept our hubbies the way they r, not the way we want them to be, coz im sure we r not perfect ideal women for them either .[his ideal might be someone with green eyes, long hair,brown/tanned skin who covers up but is still a profession career wise and so on] [urs pref hubby might be someone tht luks like john abraham, and attitude of a bad boy but a sweet soft spot for u]but when u get married u might not get tht …so.u have to own their good points and their bad points,to truly love them.
we try to be and so should he…free will is not gender determined..thank you..
beard does not cross any religious, ethical…or fashion boundaries…
now if he was to drink and smoke…i wud make it my mission to encourage him to stop..with love and still respect. tht is doing somin right[coz drinking is haram and smoking can kill so it is advised not to do it]
same wit u if u wanna do something to express something gud [being a gud daughter in law ,muslim etc] he shud not stop u either
but something like keeping a beard to reprisnt himself as a muslim is something to be proud of and thankful for as guys do not come to religion so easy…and when they do alhamdulillah they do it the proper way. so all im saying is tht if everyone els is allowed to live out their life the way they want to, if they have a choice in everything…y shudn’t ppl tht want to keep a beard be given the same respect and option…and families shudn’t come in the way. as it is a free world.
i think this particular statement has misrepresented muslim men throughout the entire world…
