My popularity here is not of a resident Mullah. But you should refer original sources for Muslims migration to Ethiopia in 7th century and how they were treated by king and population. For your information Surah e Maryam was recited in Najjashi’s court in the presence of Christian priests and did you consider Arab ambassador a fool who particularly asked Najjashi to ask Muslims to tell their belief about Hazrat Isa (AS). he knew that Muslims belief was in direct conflict with that of Najjashi and his priests (at that time). Najjashi might have converted in future, but not at the time of Makkahs delegation going to him for hand over of refugee Muslims.

What i said would make him a follower of Isa Alaihis Salam but not a mushrik. Mushrik is different.
