Re: Wishing the christians happy christmas? Allowed or no?
I did not want to reply in this again at all but i have a responsibility
I wont make a strong statement but you should check the details of the belief of king of Najran, if memory serves me right he claimed Isa Alaihis Salam did not Himself claim He Alaihis Salam was son of god. The kings janaza has also been said to have read by RasoolAllah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam. This is cited as reason why ghaiba janaza is not allowed for us. Details are from memory only
This suggests that is why this particular king was chosen and that he was not mushrik, and may have become Muslim.
The position of jurisprudence that wishing merry christmas is prohibited seems across the board accepted, (other then what i have already mentioned)
Be careful with trying to research jurisprudence by yourself. It is the mistake wahabis make.
You are very popular on the board and as such have a responsibility not to misguide those trusting in you.
